Good, but does not deserve the high ratings on every website

I've stayed in a lot of Marriot hotels, including the Aloft in Stuttgart, and was looking forward to this hotel due to the high scores. Having stayed here now I would definitely not give it a 4.5/5 like the current score. - The breakfast is very very average, and the covid measures are not applied effectively, everyone is sitting in a cramped space while the whole ground floor could be utilized. - The rooms are trying to be hip and trendy but are quite dated with stains and wallpaper coming off. - Roomservice every 3 days instead of every day as a "covid measure" is nothing more then a cost saving. So, a couple of downsides. But still, the bed is very comfy and the shower is great, and that's really all you need right. For a 3/5 score that is, but no higher then that! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

At the arrival we were informed that there was no room service, we had to pre-book breakfast and not coffee machine in the room (a Nespresso was in the hotel description and we love coffee, we even brought some capsules). As compensation, the receptionist told us that we could take anything we wanted from a small corner shop. We took a small bottle of water and some pringles. Next days we did mostly the same, also some chocolate bars, that was it. One night we were suddenly accused of stealing a pack of pringles. I tried to tell them that I was not stealing anything! but it was really disgusting. I didn't come to Munich to be accused of stealing a pack of Pringles' potato chips. I complained to customer service and the only response I got was that this was correct that the complimentary offer was only to take something the first night. Of course, we didn't even approach the mini-deli for the whole week. Really disgusting customer service! and really uneducated and disgusting people! Go, somewhere else ! pelnty of hotels in Munich ! This was our first time staying at the Aloft in Munich, after a recommendation from a friend and reviewing TA. The hotel is right across from the Munich Hauptbahnhof, so super convenient. Also, its within walking distance of Marienplatz and the subway, so you can quickly get to things. The only issues we had in the hotel was the air conditioning in our first room didn't work, but they quickly moved us to another room. Also, on one day they didn't service our room, which wasn't a big deal. The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast was also really good. Overall, this was a great stay and we highly recommend it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
The Perfect Hotel For Me

I stay in Munich often and, in term of Marriott properties, this one is my favorite. The Sheraton and Westin are way too far from the city center if you are on holiday, and the Roomers is a cool hotel, but the neighborhood is very barren and it's quite a walk anywhere. My previous stay was at the Le Meridien, across the street, which I didn't enjoy so much (noisy rooms and mice in the bar). The front desk here at Aloft were really welcoming and excited to have me when I told them I about my Le Meridien experience. My entire stay, the hotel was immaculate, the staff were great and I felt right at home. I love the blue body wash in every Aloft and the rooms are in a comfortable layout at this hotel, with decent bed and bath linens. The neighborhood this hotel is in isn't great (it's a little seedy), but it is a wonderful location if you are on holiday. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station, so it's easy to do day trips out of Munich to surrounding cities or countries. It's also nice to have the snack shops at the train station open late if you're a little hungry. It is about a 15 minute walk into the city center. Munich is one of the most walkable cities and it's very easy to get around. This hotel makes seeing the sites even easier. As far as amenities go, there is a gym available. The gym is updated with good equipment. There is also a pantry in the lobby with little snacks, but it's not very good items - it's much better to go to the train station if you want a quick bite. I really enjoyed my stay here and will be back as soon as the borders open up again. I highly suggest this hotel, as the style and location (for this price) are hard to beat. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Visited Munich and ended up staying at aloft for the Christmas holiday. The staff was amazing . Rooms where cleaned and they even left a little card and chocolate on Christmas Day. Hotel is located right in the heart of city , close to everything , restaurants are right beside the restaurant as well. Overall amazing stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
