Beautiful hotel located in Waikiki, conveniently located from the shops and the beach, everything was great, the rooms are gorgeous. the service at the pool could be a little bit better but other wise i highly recommended staying there if you need a little getaway TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend for a short stay-cation. The hotel itself is beautiful. After we checked in we got to our room which was “sealed” signaling it was clean. The room however was certainly not clean, the table had makeup and black marks all over it which I could easily wipe off with my finger. There were also sunflower seeds randomly all over the floor. We called down and they told us we could wait for someone to clean it or get a new room. We opted for a new room. Got to the new room and the couch and ottoman was covered in what looked like chip crumbs. We just said oh well and stayed in the room and wiped it down with the 2 provided wipes. Our second room was also the loudest, floor 9 right next to the elevator. It felt like we were being punished for saying our room was not clean. The room we were in was also continuously damp, all our clothes were always slightly damp. Called twice for clean towels and never got any clean towels. Called for room service coffee because our coffee creamer from our in room coffee machine had apparently gone bad and was very chunky, that never came either. The pool deck was nice on Saturday but Sunday it seemed to be very crowded with not much being done for social distancing. At a time when cleanliness should be the number one priority this hotel was a let down. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great Room and Experience

The hotel was beautiful and the room was very clean with a wonderful view. The food at the pool bar was great for bar food and the service was excellent. However, we rented a cabana and unfortunately the groups next to us later on in the afternoon had several small children who were being allowed to run around and scream even running in front of our cabana a few times. The children were dropping food into the water to feed the “fish” under the cabana chairs which in turn was floating to under our seating area. I know kids are kids but if renting a cabana there should be standards regarding space and noise seeing as everyone else is also paying for their cabana space. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice hotel but cleaning standard has to improve
Oct 20th, 2020
This hotel is at a really nice location and overall amazing design. But the cleaning standards of the guest room discourages me from staying here in the future (-) There was a *very big ROACH* in the room!! I have a picture (not uploaded but certainly can provide) (-) The guest room is overall dirty and looks lacking cleaning, stains on couch, bed headboard and the wall. (-) heavy dust on the hair dryer (-) homeless on Waikiki beach staring at you when you're on the balcony Overall, I really like the staff, they were friendly and thoughtful, see below. The handling of the roach is disappointing. (+) Checkin process is smooth and nice (+) Room service delivers fast and friendly (+) They were able to find the roach and take it out of the room. I guess... that's a plus TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
About to reopen to the world.......

As Kamaaina, I have stayed here many times, both when it was the Pacific Beach Hotel, and now as the Alohilani Resort. As usual the staff is welcoming and professional. The thermostat in our ocean front room was not working. An efficient staff member had it fixed within 20 minutes. Also, the sliding door to the lanai is in need of repair or maintenance, as it is extremely difficult to slide open. I would also suggest a sign indicating the entrance for guest self parking. Practically every one asked the front desk employees about that. It would save guests and employees a lot of time. The views from our OCEAN FRONT room # 1122 were terrific, especially if you enjoy watching the surfers at Queens and Canoes. Be aware, the bathrooms are extremely small. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and will definitely stay here again. Good luck to all the employees and staff. These past 6 months dealing with COVID have been difficult. IMUA! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
