our stay at the American Colony was amazing. The location of the hotel is very convenient and close to the old city, and the actual hotel and its facilitiesare charming. The last tourists at the hotel

During the challenges of the coronavirus, this hotel has been a haven and a home. Three of us are the last to be at the property and they will not close down until we are on our way home. Kudos to Alex and Atai at reception, Nour in housekeeping, Daniel and Yousef in dining and Chef K. Jeremy who represents the hotel owners is a gentleman and scholar. Diana in reservations has been a wonderful support and help. The hotel has bent over backwards to assist us with all our wants and needs and has done so in a cheerful and gracious manner. They upgraded our rooms, fed us with delicious meals and outstanding wines. The entire atmosphere has been comfortable yet top of the line in amenities and service. After corona I highly recommend this property. It doesn’t feel like a corporate entity, but a place to call home while traveling to the amazing city of Jerusalem. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exceptional room, overlooking the courtyard. Excellent atmosphere. Extremely knowledgeable historian employed by the hotel to manage their very accessible, priceless archive - a must see! Enjoy long leisurely meals in their restaurant or in bar by the pool. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Great colonial hotel, nices garden, great location

The hotel has a colonial touch, stylish furniture. The rooms are very nice, great beds, easy to open windows, if required. The bath rooms are fully equipped with all what you need. The rooms facilities also include a Nespresso coffee machine, water boiler for teas, minibar and safe. Great breakfast buffet with complementary NYTimes. Great coffee and orange juice, large variety of arabic sweets and breads. The hotel location is just walking distance from the Damascus gate and from there its a great getaway to explore the old city of Jerusalem. The service is good, but could be even better... some staff have been working at hotel for so long they sometimes lose the focus on the clients! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We got to Jerusalem before our group did. One night was booked but we decided to stay the open night here. Wow. What an amazing hotel. The accommodations, amenities, the area. Everything was spectacular here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
