Avoid, sleep in your car

Dec 31st, 2019

This is the absolute worst hotel ever. Our room was beyond disgusting. I was attacked by some type of insect while sleeping, numerous bites. The beds were broken and detached from the walls. The carpet was grossly dirty. To make matters worse, the hotel took my license to photocopy and failed to return it. Being so late, I did not catch it until the next day. Called and they confirmed they had it. Arranged to have it mailed to me (they refused overnight even with me paying the cost). Ten days later and no license. The manager refuses to call me back. They just do not care. This place is beyond horrible. Quality Inn is frequently older, less cared for properties, but this one takes the whole brand to a new, far less desirable level. Sleep in your car, heck sleep in a dumpster, and you will be better off. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nasty nasty rooms blood stains on bed cover bed cover on box springs, blood splatter on walls hair in tub. Employees looking in your room . Just be safe not SANITARY at all they deliberately kept my deposit for a make up stain on towel. My only 50 and I'm homeless. The black girl in office she needs to read policies and take off those ridiculous eyelashes look like she took them from big bird TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Average but aged

Great rate of $55 in a convenient area next to shopping center. Right next to I-10. Property is older and could use a renovation. Felt safe as a woman traveling alone. EXCELLENT breakfast! Overall if you are on a budget this would be fine. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

off season is the time

2nd time staying there in the Fall season -not crowded at all -the house keeping staff did a great job cleaning the rooms -the desk clerk gave a great recommendation on a local restaurant. Great location -fairly quiet -easy access to the beach or I -10. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Under medical care after staying at this hotel.

Sep 14th, 2019

I was originally to stay at the Extended Stay Suburban, but I called the company to change after reading reviews here that showed cockroaches. I arrived on Sep 4th 2019 and checked in. I was given room #150. I went in and since I was very tired I just put the bags down and crashed on the bed for a nap. I was there about 2 hours and could not sleep the smell was awful, and I started having itch in my throat and feeling that I was breathing something bad. I got out of bed and checked around there was mold all around, carpets damp and sticky. I went to front desk and told them and showed them the pictures I took. The staff was polite, but then that is the only somewhat good thing I can say about this place. They gave me another room. This one was not perfect but at least it did not smell as bad. I thought about changing hotel but I was now on a tight schedule, so I stayed. I started having some itch and coughing. By the day I was flying back home I was feeling somewhat sick. Arrived home and the next day the coughing was awful, painful and I had congestion in upper respiratory system, and right ear painful. Coughing up grey-green-with dark streaks matter. Went to doctors and it was determined I have a mold/fungal infection that affected all my system. Right ear is baddly affected and the coughing painful. I contacted Choice Hotels, and then the Quality Inn management. They were very polite, and apologized, and long story short they just sounded like they were telling me they do not really care. Very politely though. So here I am paying with pain and fever and a bad lung infection for a short stay at this Hotel. Room # 150 should be closed and sealed as it is a Public Health Biohazard. I don't know about other rooms. In the second one I stayed I realized that they do not seem to vacuum as the sole of my feet were black with dirt. The vending machines did not work. The general state was very unkempt. For your health stay away. JayCee TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
