Gorgeous boutique hotel, great service & location

Jul 19th, 2019

I would give this hotel a 4.5 and agree with many other reviewers, who noted this is a boutique hotel with gorgeous design, edgy unique art, and fantastic location. The staff was outstanding, especially Lara in guest relations. The hotel combines the boutique feel with benefits of Hyatt loyalty program. We were upgraded to a beautiful 1 bedroom suite. Was very nice, bathroom pretty but a bit unusual with the tub in the middle of the bathroom. Shower was huge. For me it was not 5 star rating due To a few small functional issues with the room, big glass bathroom door did not open or close easily and had to be closed to open bathroom closet, door to toilet room could not be opened at same time as bathroom closet- not a big deal though. The food at breakfast was very good. Wine happy hour offered daily at 5 pm in the library. Nice garden with art. Overall great experience and enjoyable stay. Great vibe in hotel. I would stay at this hotel again and would certainly recommend it . TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location on quiet canal near 9 Streets & Museums. Very interesting contemporary interior design of both common areas and rooms (theme is Alice in Wonderland). Excellent breakfast. Nice garden. Spacious comfortable rooms. Attentive staff TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First Class Hotel in a Perfect Location!

Jul 14th, 2019

We spent 5 great days in Amsterdam with the Andaz as our base. The accommodation was terrific, providing deluxe amenities in a contemporary room. Comfy bed, luxurious towels, and a well stocked wet bar with complimentary waters, juices soft drinks and snacks, replenished every day. The guest lounge off the lobby provided morning coffee, tea and breakfast pastries, bottled water anytime and complimentary wine at happy hour. The restaurant is great although pricey. Food is also served in the bar. The staff are friendly, helpful and can arrange many outside services. This is a great location right on the canal, a 20 minute walk to the Rikksmuseum, 15 minutes to Anne Frank House, and surrounded by cafes and boutiques. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

From bittersweet to UBER SWEET!

Jul 13th, 2019

To be upfront and fully disclose this review I deleted a prior review which didn’t fully reflect the uniqueness of this great boutique hotel nor reflected the GREAT STAFF & CARE For their guests specially when encountering challenges during our stay. So rather than to dwell in the past allow me to comment on the present and how great the service, staff, location, restaurants, and overall ambiance of the hotel is. I can go on about the accolades BUT rather say thank you to the following very professional staff that made our stay a great one and didn’t allow a few errant matters to cloud our overall great experience. Sanne, Hendrik, Antonellis, and Christopher THANK YOU. You are the standard for excellence and care for the guests that make an experience great and unforgettable. See you again in near future when we return to Amsterdam!! Cheers. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exquisite Boutique Hotel in Prime Location

Jul 12th, 2019

There are not enough superlatives to describe this hotel. It is visually stunning from a design perspective with a huge nod to Dutch delft blue everywhere. The mood is cool without being hipster. The staff are young and friendly without being overly attentive. It is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The location is in the heart of the canals and our room overlooks one. The room layout is unique with the sink being in the middle - some might prefer a traditional en suite bathroom setup. Great desk for office work and the bed was very comfortable. No noise to speak of made for solid nights of rest. The restaurant, Bluespoon, offers a sublime and creative menu for in hotel dining. This hotel is the best example of what a modern hotel should be. Truly exceptional. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
