Fairly central. Walking distance to Plaza des Armas, Ripley, the port. Great views from dining room on 7th floor. Comfy room. Good pillows. Helpful staff. A very good breakfast is included in price and if you are hungry after this it is your own fault. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
You get much less than I paid for

First, I am a budget traveler, and as such. My stay at this hotel was horrible. Here are the problems I encountered: 1. WiFi did not work in room as promised, 2. The hotel is cold and not heated 3. Receptionist working in the evenings is a grouch, 4. Breakfast at this hotel are terrible. My first breakfast had sour milk in the coffee. I would suggest that you can easily find a better place in Puerto Montt other than Hotel Antupiren to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Need to catch up with the hospitality trend
Apr 26th, 2015
We stayed there recently for 2 nights and was going to extend but nobody from the staff speak English and we unfortunate don't speak Spanish. I know we are the visitors but that's why we book into a hotel and not private stay so we can get an advise on the city, places to eat or go or book tours. Non of these we could achieved there so we moved from the hotel to the next one. In this time and age if there is no at least one staff speaking other language the hotel is cutting off a lot of potential guests. Room are small but OK and clean and above of all its warm there. Bed was comfortable with clean linen although the walls are thin and snoring next door kept me awake most of the night. WIFI constantly dropping out. Breakfast room has beautiful view and adequate selection of food. The ladies there were the only one smiling. There were 3 people at the reception for duration of our stay and nobody really wanted to go outside of their official job or official face. The guy at the last morning had a big problem to convert the currencies for us to pay in local money as they didn't have any change to give us back from US$ which They wanted to be paid in. The first lady who checked us in couldnt get fast enough to get rid of us constantly speaking in fast Spanish so we couldn't catch a word also handed us a pamphlet in Spanish again! What a waist of paper. Surely They could invest into a least translating some points in language which most of travellers speak. She also left us approx. 15mins waiting outside together with other guests as she was not at her desk from where she has to open the door every time you come in. The opening of the door is not a problem as it is a good security but she needs to ask somebody else to be there when she goes elsewhere. Overall if you speak Spanish and want a satisfactory hotel on budget than this is hotel for you but if you want a help or book a tour as we did in English go somewhere else, there are plenty of hotels with language educated staff around in P.Montt. Wonderful five night stay, thanks Jorge

Contrary to some of the other reviews written here, our five night stay at the Antupiren Hotel was wonderful. True, it is not a five star hotel as some reviewers might have wished but it was reasonably priced. The rooms were comfortable with nice bathrooms, beds were very comfy and good views of the city. The highlight for us was the owner/manager Jorge. He speaks English and was immensely helpful during our stay, very pleasant and a true gentleman. On our last day the laundry we had sent out had not been delivered back to us and we were catching a boat. Jorge personally drove to the laundromat and got our laundry for us. Breakfasts were very nice in the top floor restaurant with great views of the city and the hostess there was very nice and attentive. We would definitely go back to the Antupirin Hotel. Thank you Jorge. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Why did we stay here?

I can't remember exactly why we booked this place (perhaps price) but it was terrible and not worth it if it was free. The location is seedy. The hotel locks the front door, and the "receptionist" needs to come and unlock when ever you arrive. In addition, there is some security disclaimer (in spanish) that they make you sign on check-in about from what he could explain things getting stolen out of rooms, and this is the only hotel out of 6 this holiday that made us pay everything upfront. In addition the staff were so uninterested in helping. We were planning on leaving at 7 and breakfast only started at 7:15- they could do nothing for us. This was so bad we had originally booked for two nights (and paid) that we we left after one. Too terrible. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
