What a shame!!!

Aug 9th, 2020

This used to be one of my favorite places to stay in Philadelphia. Since COVID-19 it seems that this place has turned into a homeless shelter. They used to be very high-class people from all over the world here now you have people who have been living there as if it was their home and have been there for almost 3, 4 and even 5 months. And these people that are staying there a very shady very low class people. What a shame and extremely nice place turned into garbage. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean, Safe and Friendly!

We stayed here with Ride to DC, and I was really impressed with this place. I was hesitant to be in a hostel during covid, but they made me feel really safe and there was plenty of space. They also didn't mind our group sitting outside on the cobble street for safety reasons. 10/10, would definitely come back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Apple hostel

Aug 3rd, 2020

I stayed at the apple hostel for three nights. I was in the 18 bed dorm room with half capacity. The bunk beds were okay w clean linens and outlets / reading lights on the side of the bunk bed. As it is shared accommodations there were some loud entrances of guests coming and going which is to be expected in a shares environment. The lobby has activities such as a pool table/ piano and guitar and board games. Fun activities to build community. The kitchen area was well stocked with dishes and plates as well as a coffee machine which costs 1.00. Overall good location in the heart of old town pa. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Home away from Home

My experience here has been nothing but amazing! The owner of the hostel Marc, has been so accommodating. Marc helped me carry my bags into the building and allowed me to hold them in the luggage closet. Also, Marc was very informative about places I could park my car at inexpensive rates. In regard to the hostel, it is extremely cozy and I would definitely stay here again. Marc has created an atmosphere that is warm and feels like home away from home. Without a doubt, I would recommend Apple! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The best U.S. hostel

Mar 9th, 2020

I'm a flight attendant and require: peaceful atmosphere, a bit of fun, super clean, and hospitality. I got it all and then name a few fun things: wine & cheese night, movie & beer night, pub crawl, pasta night, breakfast friday - sunday. The staff is kind and knowledgable of the area, the washrooms/sleeping rooms are clean and well kept. Received sheets/blanket/towels/stacks of clean hand towels in the bathrooms; and can we just talk about the two major kitchens?? Apple Hostel of Philly is by far the best and surpasses everyone else. THANKS everyone. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
