Property is closed part of the year
Arowhon Pines, an outdoor oasis nestled within Ontario's Algonquin Park, beckons to R&R-seekers and nature lovers. Visitors can choose from lake activities like canoeing, sailing and paddleboarding, as well as land-based endeavors like tennis and hiking. Plus, all Arowhon Pines guests receive one complimentary vehicle day pass for the park, which has a logging museum, an outdoor theater and hiking and mountain bike trails. Meals are served daily in the rustic Dining Room or outside by the lake and are included in all room rates. Recent guests raved about the restaurant, saying its delectable dishes and packed picnic lunches were the highlights of their stays. Many also appreciated their rustic (albeit pricey) accommodations, which come with wood-burning fireplaces and antique furnishings. But remember, these digs are not outfitted with televisions or wireless internet access, so travelers who want to stay connected while on vacation should consider staying elsewhere. Also, keep in mind that this resort closes annually from early October to late May.
