We showed up and this hotel seemed really neat from the outside and the entrance. But there were many reasons I wouldn't recommend the Artmore. Inadequate parking space for any size vehicle over a sedan. No extra linens for the fold-out couch. Odd room layout with poor quality finishes. Electrical outlets broken. There was a hole under the sink that allowed you to see into the next room. There was no mini bar when the website informed us there would be. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not up to its potential

We love boutique hotels for their quirkiness and have stayed in them all over the world but... The Artmore has a great location and the exterior is lovely. But this property needs a lot of updating. A valiant attempt to upgrade the reception area is defeated by the ground floor’s low ceiling. It feels oppressive. There was a musky, dead skunk smell in the ground floor hallways leading to the elevator. Our second floor double appeared to be clean, the linens were acceptable but there were no Aveda toiletries or toiletries of any kind. The tv worked but we couldn’t test out the coffee maker because there were no mugs or disposable hot cups in the room. The really unpleasant thing was the bathroom. It would be considered tiny even by European standards; it was also in need of new or cleaner floor tile. And the bathroom needs to be repainted — after multiple layers of flaking paint are removed. The tub-shower was tiny, too, and the shower head was so low that it hit my six-foot husband in the neck. However, the water was hot and the water pressure was excellent. (Since we live in Atlanta and had been without power due to a storm for days, our brief visit was to freshen up so the water temp and pressure were appreciated.). And the tub-shower tile was clean and relatively new. The room also had a 4-5 port recharging station. We needed that, too. We didn’t try out the beds because we hadn’t planned to sleep over but they felt comfortable for sitting. It wouldn’t take much to make this property a gem. Right now it’s a bit shabby and feels like it’s in decline. We only dealt with the person at the desk who checked us in so I can’t comment on service. Oh and beware the parking garage in the basement. It is tiny. Any vehicle bigger than our Subaru Forester would be hard to squeeze in...and the spaces are limited. Plus you are charged extra to park there. Speaking of price, well, you could do worse. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Run down dingy hotel

The location was nice, but other than that, not much to say about it. The hotel was poorly lit, noisy from the street at times, the bathroom was a mess and had paint peeling everywhere. The phone didn’t work ( minor since we have cell phones these days). The fridge was turned off, we had to wait for it to cool off again. The countertops had chips in them in the bathroom. The faucet in the tub was leaking and the carpet looked dirty. A far cry from the photos on hotels tonight and other sites. Hotel hallways looked like the shining. Def won’t be staying here again when in ATL. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very clean. Friendly staffing, great safe location. Really is a hidden gem. Minuets to anywhere in the city. Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead. Easy access to 85/75. The courtyard is beautiful at night. Parking is difficult to maneuver. They only have limited parking also. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
AWFUL hotel- DO NOT STAY. Unclean + NO MASKS
Sep 20th, 2020
This hotel is absolutely terrible. Not only do the photos not match AT ALL but the overall cleanliness is a disgrace. Particularly during COVID, this is not somewhere anyone should stay. The hotel employees do not even wear masks and are unapologetic about it. They claim to have self parking but they don't have more than a few spots so you're left to find your own parking. The front desk attendant actually advised us to park in a private lot that threatens to boot and tow your car (we obviously did not follow that direction). What a waste of our money.
