Amazing hotel!

Feb 21st, 2020

We went on a last minute trip to Stone Mountain and stayed at the Marriott Evergreen hotel. The hotel is clean, nicely updated and the staff is incredible. We were given a balcony room that overlooked the lake. What a great view to wake up to! Our room came with breakfast and the food at the restaurant was amazing. Seriously, all of the food was tasty and cooked to perfection. My son ordered the steak and eggs and he loved it. The avocado toast plate was good and the food portion was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Renovated Room, Welcoming Staff

Feb 4th, 2020

All of the staff from the front desk to the housekeepers we encountered were extremely friendly. The first floor rooms had been renovated and other floors were undergoing remodels as well. For the most part, everything was clean and fresh, though I did find a piece of a Cheeto at the room's door and a sock beside the treadmill in the fitness center. One of the work stations in the business center would not connect to the Internet. On the positive side, though, the front desk was helpful in answering questions, and conference food was delivered on time and seemed plentiful. There appeared to be ample parking and, unlike so many location-challenged places in Atlanta, no fee for parking in an overcrowded lot, with the exception of those who chose to valet. Expensive at Christmas and under construction

Jan 6th, 2020

The pool areas are awesome for kids with the construction you are down to one restaurant and bar which wasn't terrible as it was not packed. They were very disorganized with our package and Snow Mountain and this is the first place in years I've stayed at where they charge for WiFi. Would probably stay outside the park next time for the price we paid. You are also unallowed to use carts to bring luggage in without a bellhop and tipping them which is ridiculous. Excellent Room

Dec 26th, 2019

Wife and I decided to see Christmas at Stone Mountain. Bad luck for us we picked a misty and cool day. Lobby was nicely appointed and check in was fast and staffed by knowledgeful people. We have stayed at a lot of hotels, but I felt at home at this one. Room was excellent, just what you expect from Marriott. Clean, comfortable and a wonderful king bed. Elevators were fast and clean. You can tell a lot about attention to detail by the elevator. TV in the room was quite good since we didn't get the full treatment at Stone Mountain because of weather. Parades were cancelled and a comfotable room was a plus. Only complaint was the buffet was sparse selection and food was cafeteria buffet style. I wish we had gone to the Commons Golf Club. Wait staff was good and nice people to talk to. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Only other thing was a shuttle to the park was advertised, but we were told that the during the winter season, it didn't run. Nothing in the brochure about that. We had to pay an extra 10 dollars to park in the "preferred" area. or walk 1/4 mile to the village. An overall pleasant stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Slightly dated but overall good resort at Stone Mountain

Dec 8th, 2019

Stayed here for a work event in early June. Super hot, but not unexpected for summer in Atlanta. I did enjoy my stay here and do like the resort. However I do think the resort is a little dated and could use a little TLC to get it up to the same level of some of the more modern Marriott properties that I have stayed in. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
