Lovely Stay

Oct 15th, 2020

This was my first time staying at a Marriott and I loved my room and it's location. They put on a floor and room that I could see my sons apartment from my window. I loved the fact that my room was in the corner and no one was next to me, and my bed was so spacious even with two people sleeping in it. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and polite. Yes I will be more then happy to book there again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible Stay!

Sep 20th, 2020

This was the third time our family of four stayed in this hotel, but it will be our last. The parking garage, lobby, and even the elevators on the 17th floor smelled very strongly of marijuana. The rooms were significantly more run down than the last time we were here. The room was also not clean. We found a chewed piece of gum on the floor, hair on our “clean” towels, and mold/mildew in the shower. The bathroom floor had not been mopped. We had to call the front desk twice to request bedding for the pull out sofa. The blanket that was delivered was beyond disgusting. Thankfully our kids had blankets in the car so we made trip back to the parking garage that consistently smelled like marijuana. There are several hotels in this are of town. We will definitely pick a different one next time! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location

Sep 13th, 2020

This was my second time there. The first time was not a good experience due to several things, but the general manager made some changes and this time was great except for the rude valet parking woman. The rooms are spacious and nice, but the hotel is dated and needs some renovation in the rooms. Overall good location and friendly staff this time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not safe, terrible service

Sep 1st, 2020

Don’t stay here if you’re concerned with your safety during the pandemic. People don’t wear masks, including employees. Also, can’t work because the WiFi doesn’t work and when I ask for options, I get rude responses from staff. No benefits for Marriott status holders, expensive parking, nothing included on the rate you are given. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Yuck!!!

Jul 26th, 2020

We came to Atlanta for a 2-night stay, and returned to the Marriott Suites Downtown after staying here last December and having a decent stay. This time, it was disgusting. $104 rate, yes please! Decent midtown location, great! That’s where the positives end. First, the parking garage smelled like a meth lab. That carried into the elevators and our rooms. Thank goodness we only slept here and didn’t stay in the rooms much, because on our last night it was so bad I was almost gagging. It seriously smelled like what I would imagine a crack house would smell like in the common areas on the floor and garage. Next, the level of service. Our king room with sofa bed had 2 towels for a room that slept 4; first call to the front desk for us to get an extra towel, delivered in about 30 minutes. Next, we pull out the sofa bed as we’re getting ready for bed, and no sheets or pillows for it. Second call to the front desk, another 30 minutes to get our bedding, delivered generously with 1 pillow. Shower, and no soap is provided. You get the picture yet? Given 3 keys, 1 works the entrance door to the room. It grew tiresome quickly. Finally, the hotel has 1 elevator not working, and asks to limit to 2 guests per elevator. That is difficult to do at peak times when only 2 elevators are in operation, and those of us on lower floors ended up waiting a long time for multiple elevator trips to get back down to the lobby. Sadly, many of the guests did not adhere to the requested limits, nor were they wearing masks. The hotel only seemed to enforce mask wearing while in the lobby. Our next trip to Atlanta will NOT visit this hotel again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
