Bees Beware!

Sep 6th, 2020

Bees and customer service beware! Currently staying here this weekend, Labor Day, due to the heat. I can understand things being different during Covid, I have stayed at multiple hotels this summer to keep my family busy. But this hotel is just unacceptable. First off, the bees! They are all over the pool! By day two, both of my boys were stung by bees and crying. We had told the staff on day one and day two about the bee issue, gave them all natural recommendations on how to deter bees, and were one of many families having issues with the bees but nothing was or has been done. Then there's the fact that there seems to be a shortage of towels at the hotel. I can't seem to ever get enough for my family even when I ask. The pool towels are like kid size towels, they barely a fit a full grown adult. The restaurant is closed, which I get, but there is no room service and housekeeping seems to work very limited hours. The tv remote had dead batteries the first day and the phone is not working at all. When I called (on my cell phone) about the tv and phone, they said I had to go the front with the appliances so they could fix. They also told me that if I want more towels, I have to take the dirty ones to the front in order to get clean ones. You can't have food and drink at the pool yet they didn't even serve anything until late afternoon of day 2, despite the hotel being sold out. Oh and did I mention they still charge a $75 incidental fee even though there is no pool or room service? When you look around at the hotel, you can tell they have tried but unfortunately they have just gotten it all wrong and have a lot of nerve charging full price for a room. Such a waste of a vacation with the family. Will never stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Delightful Staff

Apr 30th, 2020

The staff here was very nice and helpful (especially Maritza Ceja). First off, I did not actually stay here. During the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we had a family tragedy and needed to wash clothes. Our hotel next door did not have laundry facilities so for an entire week we were allowed to use the Atriums facilities. They were more than gracious, they were delightful! and on top of that, the facilities were fabulous. The washers/dryers were huge and the dryers actually dried our clothes in one try. They worked better than our machines at home. I also really loved hanging out on the beautiful grounds! The next time we are staying in the area, the Atrium Hotel is my choice! Thanks to my new friends, Mark and family TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Like a second home

Mar 9th, 2020

Once or twice a year, I'm in the area for events. There is never a second choice. The breakfast buffet is solid food from the scrambled eggs, bacon, to array of carbs, fruit, and yogurts. The coffee is always fresh and inviting. Don't see what you want—ask. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not a fan

Feb 25th, 2020

Have stayed here a few times because of a conference I attend. Mediocre experiences so far but what I would like to complain about is getting nickel and dimed for things that I think should be included. Like having a small refrigerator in your room. I have never heard of a hotel charging extra for that. Here they charge you $10 a day extra. The unit itself you could probably buy for like $100 brand new. Or, early check in. Usually if the room is available and clean a hotel will allow you to check in early. This is called being courteous to your paying guests. If the room is clean and ready why have them wait. Well, at the atrium they will let you check in but for around $30 extra. I think the owners should reconsider these fees because they don’t feel like hospitality to me. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Horrible place

Dec 31st, 2019

Advertised heated pool , the water is frozen. Got here sooner than 3pm and they wanted to charge me 25.0 more to let me check in . I waited in the lobby that smelled so bad. The picture of the place is totally different then seeing it in person. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
