Lovely boutique hotel in a great location

Aug 17th, 2019

We stayed for a week at Auberge and it did not disappoint. Our only complaint is the A/C could have been cooler. The rooftop bar is amazing with beautiful views of the city and St. Lawrence River. Perfect location to walk to all of the sights Old Montreal has to offer. The front desk staff are wonderful and were helpful in every way. Special shout out to Yamila who made sure I got some famous Montreal bagels to bring home. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Old World Charm with Impeccable Service

Aug 17th, 2019

The Auberge has been our favorite place to stay in Montréal for many years and never disappoints. We stayed in a king room overlooking the port. It was immaculately clean, the bed very comfortable and the cleaning service prompt and responsive. They knew we were arriving early, 10 am, and as promised the room was ready. Fantastic! The entire staff are warm and friendly always looking for ways to be of help. If you are looking for the true experience of a hotel in Old Montréal that is warm, welcoming and comfortable, Auberge du Vieux Port is the place to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Modern comfort with all the charm of OLD Montreal!

Aug 16th, 2019

We love the location of the Auberge! It is always fun to be right in the midst of the pedestrian area of Old Montreal. Our room on the second floor had two big comfy window seats looking down on Rue St. Paul. The rooms are large, and a little bit funky, with exposed brick, stone and or wooden beams. You can feel the history in this beautiful old building. I also appreciate the modern touches, with a huge comfy bed and an extravagant multi-nozzle rainshower. The rooftop deck is the best in the city. The view over the waterfront is fabulous. We enjoyed excellent service there, and throughout the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We like this hotel. A few minor points

Aug 15th, 2019

We like boutique hotels and liked this one. One of the big pluses was the smile from reception and general niceness from the staff all round. Especially so in the bar and restaurant. The hotel was in the old town and the valet took our car off us when we arrived. You do not need a car in Montreal and the area was great to walk around. The room was narrow but quirky. The walls were thin though and footsteps from next door (and other noises) were easily audible. To get in you need to climb steps that is not easy with six suitcases but the valet was there to help. Not a place if you are in a wheelchair. The WiFi could have been faster. The rooms were clean but we did find the cleaning lacking in the room from day to day. Used coffee mugs were not replaced and the bed making perfunctory. There was little to no dusting. Could have done without the ‘musac’ in the foyer and lift but realise that is cultural. Generally, enjoyed the stay and would come back if we revisited Montreal. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect Place in Old Montréal

Aug 1st, 2019

I greatly enjoyed staying at L'Auberge du Vieux-Port. I especially liked the terrace on the roof—eating the lobster roll there, which I had twice, with two different white wines—all good. Very friendly service staff there. I enjoyed my room, which was perfect—rustic and elegant, with a high ceiling and good view of the lively street scene. I liked the Nespresso machine in my room, and the hotel staff who gave me extra non-decaffeinated capsules. The location of the hotel is perfect—I walked everywhere. In conclusion, I really liked the Auberge du Vieux-Port, and I would like to go back there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
