First Class...And Very Expensive

Feb 14th, 2020

Everything about Aulani is first class--the attention to detail, the spotless grounds, the friendliness of the staff. It's fun, family-friendly, and filled with opportunities for great experiences. We loved the pools, the lazy river, the water slides, the access to the beach, the variety of restaurants. We loved being able to relax and enjoy the top notch service and hospitality. But just beware that all of the excellence comes at a steep price for just about everything. I suppose that's to be expected, but even though we're from California where everything is priced high, we still experienced sticker shock at Aulani. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hawaiian Paradise for everyone!

Feb 11th, 2020

I recently spent 2 nights at this hotel to finish our family trip on Oahu and was definitely the highlight of this trip. We all enjoyed it! The resort is full of adventures for kids and the beach is just picturesque. The food was ok, shaved ice is a must have, I highly recommend the unlimited drink bottle it's a great option to keep you hydrated all day. My favorite part was the lazy river, I could stay there forever. Incredible hotel experience and I can't wait to go back again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Doesn’t live up to Disney standards

Feb 11th, 2020

our second time to Alunai. Last year very good, this year seems to be under management that does not care. We were there 9 days and the ice machines (all 3) at the beverage dispenser were broken, ice was dispensed from a utility bin by a cast member sometimes or sometimes serve your self and sometimes no ice at all. These were broken for the full 9 days! One of the 6 elevators out of service our last day, batteries dead in room safe (fixed within an hour), a wind storm blew through three days before we left the employees had no idea what to do and there was no management to lead. Guests were left to fend for themselves in expensive restaurants while employees walked around with blank looks on there faces. Next day all pools, bars, and some restaurants closed, the weather was not bad a little tropical breeze and on and off sprinkles. Following day lazy river still closed. It’s like they had no clue what to do, we watched out our window while the employees moped around picking up leaves. We went down to the Marriott to have dinner because everything was closed and all pools open, four seasons same thing. The worst was when we asked when things would be open (Maybe not today or tomorrow) upon checkout spoke to a manager who told us “we were wrong there was no ice machines broken” and “can’t you see there is trees all around that need to be trimmed” if this happened in Disney Florida you would wake up in the morning and never know this all happened. We have been to Disney parks and hotels over 30 times, this was the first real bad one, everybody has a bad day or there is always some little thing wrong but this was much more than that TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The ultimate resort for families

Feb 11th, 2020

We are not big Disney fans, but when we were planning our trip to Hawaii, the Aulani resort kept popping up. It did not disappoint! The kids had a blast in the different pools and lazy river and enjoyed the little piece of beach. The little details throughout the hotel were cute and the rooms were perfect. We opted for a room with a kitchen so that we were not eating out for each meal. I would also recommend renting a car while you are there are touring the island. It was seriously one of the best family vacations we have done. When we go back to Hawaii, we will make sure to spend time at Aulani! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Feb 10th, 2020

Spent a week there. The facility is fabulous. They were doin some remoldeling, but that wasn't a problem. The resort is a 5. The restaurtants are a 3. The worst food I've ever eaten at a Disney facility. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
