Family stay

Jun 15th, 2019

We stayed at the Ayers Hotel in Anaheim for 3 nights. We stayed to be close to Disney for our reservations to the new Star Wars land. It was a lovely stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well appointed. The only problem with the hotel we had during our stay was with the first night when the cookies during “social hour” were gone with over 20 minutes left in the social hour. We enjoyed the pool and the hot breakfast. The morning chef during our stay was pleasant and made my kids Mickey shaped pancakes. We would not recommend staying here when the Angels are at home if you are not a baseball fan as the parking lot is difficult to exit and get into before the game begins. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Location

Jun 12th, 2019

We spent 10 nights at Ayres Anaheim. Great location right next to Anaheim Stadium, and with the shuttle bus stop for Disneyland right in front of the hotel it was super convenient to get over to Disney and back each night. Walked to two Angels vs Mariners games. Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff at check in, at breakfast, at all times. The breakfast was good each morning. Pancakes made to order. Eggs, hash browns, bacon or sausage, fresh fruit and yoghurt, three cereals and an assortment of bagels, donuts and danishes etc. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful, Convenient, and Comfortable

Jun 7th, 2019

The hotel was chosen by those who coordinated a meeting I attended for a few days. I'd been to Costa Mesa many times, but I'd not ever stayed here. The lobby, courtyard, pool area, and restaurant are beautiful. The room was very quiet with a view of the pool area. Those at the front desk were very kind and helpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Always comfortable and easy

Jun 7th, 2019

Clean and comfortable rooms, easy check in and out, pleasant people. Fresh cookies, cocktail hour, free breakfast! I usually stay for business but see vacationers alll the time so must work well for both. Thank you for a pleasant stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfectly Acceptable

Jun 2nd, 2019

We would definitely stay here again, although nothing was outstanding. Area was very convenient and safe. Traffic was not bad. Parking was plentiful (nightly charge of $10) even though it also appears open to the public ($40?). Front desk staff were all quite friendly, especially when we had numerous questions since there was no binder of info in the room to inform us of breakfast hours, pool hours, area attractions, nearby restaurants (JT Schmid's is next door and quite good), Disney shuttle ($5/person), area churches, etc. There was one day that the roads near the hotel were blocked in certain directions due to an event at the Honda Center, so that was interesting. Continental breakfast was good, but I wish there were signs telling us the daily choices. The poor woman doing the serving (hot dishes are not help yourself) had to answer, "What are you serving?" about 20 times every time we were there since the pans are covered. The breakfast area is quite crowded, and they prefer that guests not bring food up to the rooms. There is a happy hour M-Th, which consisted of limited beer, wine, cider (?), non-alcoholic beverages, tortilla chips in a medium-sized serving bowl, and a tiny bowl of salsa. That's it. There were also no plates the times we attended, so people just ate a chip or two. This is very different than the Staybridge Suites that has/had extensive food during their evening reception. Rooms were clean except for some of the bathroom grout. Limited counter space at sink, which is located outside of toilet/shower room. Smell was quite musty, but we were able to open windows to get rid of the odor every time we returned to the room. Laundry right down the hall was $3/wash and $3/dry cycle. Small convenience items available for purchase next to the front desk. Very small pool and hot tub in, basically, the parking lot. Rooms/halls were relatively quiet, and again, staff was quite pleasant and efficient. Price was good, so we'd stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
