Amazing place!

Jan 18th, 2020

I stayed at this resort with a group of friends over New Year's Eve and had an absolute blast. It is such an impressive hotel in so many ways. The staff was amazing and very personable. Scott, the activities director, was always willing to help us find things to do and make sure we were having fun. We loved the pool and the lawn area where we could play games like ping pong, volleyball, and frisbee. The beaches were very nice as well. Hammock beach is very peaceful and a great place to take a nap where you can lay under some mangroves. Then Coconut Beach is where there are a lot more activities like jet skis, parasailing, and more. The Dry Rocks bar/restaurant is also right next to the beach and there is a tiki bar right on the sand. We were there for the new year's celebration which was a very nice event where we received free champagne and a fun "ball drop" that featured a giant beach ball. The food was amazing both at Dry Rocks and Calusa. I loved the lamb that I got for dinner one night and the omelets in the morning for breakfast. Andy Papson is a master chef and knows how to put together a quality meal. Rooms were very clean and well designed. Loved the giant manatee pillows we had in our rooms and really appreciated the service of the hotel maids. Overall, it was a great time and a great hotel. Wouldn't recommend any other hotel in the keys! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely incredible in every way!

Jan 17th, 2020

Wow! There aren't enough superlatives to describe our stay here! But let me try. We were warmly greeted by the valet staff person, who also took our luggage to the room. The common areas were very nice, but the wow factor really kicked in when we walked into our room. It was large, beautifully decorated, and everything looked new. The balcony and view overlooking the beach was probably the best we've experienced in our many stays at beautiful hotels and the world. We were on the 4th floor of the Coconut Wing, which I highly recommend. We could see all the activity on the beach and in the water, including the hotel dock, paddle boards, kayaks, sailboats. We spent at least half of our stay just sitting on the balcony. Incredible! Note: if you want a quieter location, choose the 4th floor ocean front rooms in the Hammock Wing. You'll have a view of the ocean over the trees, away from the activity. But we definitely prefer the a Coconut Wing. Dry Rocks is an amazing place for food and drinks. They're mahi mahi bowl is amazing! We had it twice. And the seating is mostly outdoors with views of the water. And creative seating likes swings and rockers. Breakfast was delicious with outdoor seating with great views of the ocean. Continental breakfast was included for diamond members, and it was well worth paying the small upgrade to get made to order omelettes. Then there's the private beach! The main beach in front of the Coconut building was the central spot with paddle boards and kayaks included in the resort fee. Also, small sailboats and jet skis for rent. Plenty of chaise lounges along the water. If you want a more quiet, secluded beach, go to the beach in front of the Hammock Wing. There are many chaise lounges set up along the trees right along the water. Almost like a private beach for just the two of us! We will definitely be back to our new favorite resort! Beach Wedding in Key Largo

Jan 16th, 2020

We had a beautiful wedding at this resort. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating! The party planner Liz Diaz was great from beginning to end. The place had been recently redone after the last hurricane! The front entrance when you walked up made a very nice impression! The lobby was very nice. The Dry Rocks bar was great with good food. Calusa restaurant had a very nice dinner and Breakfast. The food was great. Service was good all weekend. All the guest that were there commented on how beautiful and great their stay was. We will definitely be back again soon. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Impressed!

Jan 16th, 2020

I was on a 2 night stay-cation while my house was being tented for termites. As I live in Key Largo, it is somewhat difficult to select a local hotel. A friend recommended Barker’s Cay Resort. I had only visited the property for meetings while it was under its previous brand. (The hotel underwent a year long renovation and Re-branding after Hurricane Irma). I arrived around 10:30am and thought I might not be able to check-in. I was greeted warmly and told my room was ready. I was also recognized as a HH gold and told not only would I get free WiFi, but continental breakfast! Nice perks. The standard room was large and inviting. The bed had regular feather pillows plus a giant lounging pillow. What fun! There was the giant LG flat screen, a sofa, table, stuffed chair and ample work space. The bath has a glass walk in shower and love that they are green conscious with big pump dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and gel. I spent my free time at the adult (there is also a family pool) pool. The water is heated! Another big perk. There are lush towels and the gal attending the area kept bringing ice water and even a half glass of a rum punch! So fun! And, the hotel WiFi even reaches here, so I was able to download a new book on my iPad while at the pool. A friend met me for dinner at Dry Rocks, which somewhat has 3 levels, rocking chairs, poofy chairs, stuffed sofas and beach loungers. The menu is upscale Mexican and they have a tequila bar. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our food and margaritas. The resort is dog friendly and charges a $75 fee once for their stay. Any size is welcome. I boarded my pit bull as she was having a medical procedure and I was missing her. They sent their doggie bag to my room as if she was with me. So thoughtful! I was sad when I had to check out. This was a true 5 star resort experience in every way. I will definitely recommend my friends visiting Key Largo stay at Baker’s Cay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing Resort

Jan 15th, 2020

My three friends and I enjoyed this resort SO MUCH! We slept very comfortably with 3 spacious beds. The amenities and activities going on were perfect as we were there during New Years. I highly recommend staying here as they have many breathtaking views. It also has many places to just sunbathe and relax as well. Lastly, the people who run the property are wonderful and the experience was memorable and fantastic. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
