Unmatched Service

Mar 12th, 2020

I stayed here twice in the last two months for business. I only use Marriott hotels if possible because of the consistent excellent service and variety of benefits available. More than anything else, I want to emphasize the service I received. It started with the Bellman opening the door of my cab and welcoming me. He also opened the front door of the hotel and told me to enjoy my stay. Next another employee standing near the front door smiled, greeted me, and pointed me in the direction of the front desk. And it didn't end there. The hotel and room were clean and the bed was delightful. The bar and wait staff were friendly and made good conversation. As far as the food goes, get the chicken quesadilla! Absolutely the best I ever ever ever had. The caramelized onions really pushed it over the top. Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely stay there. Clean, great location, great staff

Mar 8th, 2020

The hotel is right in the middle of downtown near Camden Yards and the Convention center. We were there for a volleyball tourney and had a great stay. The breakfast was excellent, made to order omelets and waffles, fresh fruit and fresh cooked breakfast foods. The staff was friendly upon arrival and all the way through our stay. Housekeeping did a great job keeping things clean and straight. Wish there was a pickup service from the hotel to the train, but it’s only 2 miles so Uber wasn’t expensive. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel is not for anyone with a disability

Feb 16th, 2020

My son is an amputee and we got a handicap accessible room. Upon checking in, we found that it did not have a bath bench. We requested this by phone and in person, and it took hours before anything was delivered to the room. However, what they provided was a chair that was meant for a walk-in shower. It was not compatible with a bathtub. (See picture.) Getting into the tub was very dangerous. The chair was not stable and overall extremely unsafe. When I brought this up to the staff, they did not know the difference between a walk-in shower chair and bathtub bench. Apparently, they are not acquainted with ADA regulations. The hotel did not have a concierge available. The woman at the front desk tried to help, but she was swamped with people checking in. I often attend Amputee Coalition events. I will be sure to forward this review to them. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Really run down for a downtown convention center Marriott

Jan 22nd, 2020

I was very disappointed in my room - furniture was old and damaged. The bed was the old type, with dents in the middle. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member. There was no consideration given to any status. I called down from my room and asked for the manager to call me back - never did. I went to the front desk to see if any of their rooms were updated. They said no. I showed them pictures of the furniture in my room that was in disrepair. They said mine was worse than most. They apologized and told me they would see if they could move me the next day. Never happened. It is right next to the convention center - but if I am there again, I'll jump ship to the Hilton across the street - much nicer hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Solid Option

Jan 15th, 2020

The Marriott is very conveniently located near Camden Yards and is several blocks from the business district. It is a pretty typical Marriott, with decent sized rooms having work space, strong WiFi and multiple outlets. My room was immaculate. The public spaces are fine, not great. Service was fine, and my mid-week room price was pretty low. All in all, this is a good value, though not a memorable experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
