We will NEVER stay here- E V E R !!

I booked a trip to Baoase Luxury Resort a few months ago anticipating a stay later this year. We had a personal issue arise and decided to cancel, based on their 30-day cancellation policy. This happened in mid-March, well before our stay later this year and before covid-19 became a global pandemic. I never received my down payment back- Oliver, the GM, literally told me that "we're all in this together" and they somehow came up with a new policy that supercedes the one I signed up for. WTF ?! As a result, I lost of over $5000 with Baoase Luxury Resort. I fully understand the financial circumstance they must be in- I can't diminish that. BUT- they do not put their customers first if they feel like they can create a new policy that you don't sign up for and they simply keep your money. This is HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR PLANNING AND FRAUD and at worst, it's STEALING. I have ZERO interest in going there so a voucher for a future date isn't in my plans unfortunately. Beautiful resort, but what a amazing staff!

I don’t often wright reviews but for this stay i would like to share my experience. Last week I came back from our honeymoon to Baoase. After a long flight we arrived at the resort and first impression is amazing. It’s a beautiful resort! We went there for four nights but unfortunately my husband got ill in the first night. The next morning we went to the breakfast and the staff immediately saw that he didn’t feel well and took care of him directly. After breakfast we went to our room and saw that there was an ‘Hope you get well soon Package’ with a.o. tea, honey, fresh juices and fruit, vitamines, fresh ginger, dry creakers and a note from the management. Because of this package and the daily care from the staff of Baoase he felt better in two days and could we have two more days with him fully recovered. I never experienced this kind of help from an other resort! Those two days made, instead of break, our honeymoon and want to thank Baoase for it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We booked two beachfront pool suites for 5 nights. I highly recommend the VIP airport arrival service and car rental. Despite a few minor hiccups (which were quickly corrected) the stay was magical. All the employees were great. Food was amazing, but a little rich at times for my basic palate. Breakfast was the best. Due to start of COVID-19 pandemic, some impacts were felt around the islands but it did not deter us from having a great time. Checked out many beaches and the Ostrich farm. Driving was no problem. Most shops in downtown were closed but that just allowed us to spend more time at the resort. Snorkeling was great at the resort. Bartenders and Beach attendants were also fantastic. The Welcome Cocktail was excellent. I've stayed at several high end resorts and this one sets the bar. Rooms were straight out of a fairy tale. Small, exclusive, friendly resort. We felt like royalty. The management team was also very gracious and checked on us as the property planned for it's COVID-19 response. Worth the splurge. No doubt. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We will never support this resort

We had planned to stay at this lovely resort in the next few weeks. Obviously, due to the global crisis, there is no way for us to actually get to the island. The island is actually closed to all travelers. After reaching out to the resort, we were so disappointed that they chose to do the wrong thing for their customers and not refund our stay. We are obviously empathetic to the challenges of the tourism industry. However, that is not an excuse. In these trying times, it is very sad that they are only concerned with their own challenges instead of the health and safety of our global community. We would have thought so highly of this resort if they had chosen to do the right thing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

An Incredible Vacation

We stayed at Baoase March 5-12th. Our flight arrived very late, but we had opted for the VIP airport arrival and transfer - which was totally worth it. We sailed through customs with our greeter, and cars were waiting to transport us to the resort. I knew that the location was residential, but the entrance (especially at night) is breathtaking - you know you are about to enter someplace special. We were greeted by the reception staff and finished check-in. A delicious welcome drink followed, along with a tour of the property as we were escorted to our villa. We stayed in Villa 101 - the best location in my opinion. The infinity pool, the outdoor space, the cleanliness - all amazing. We were a party of 6, and there was plenty of room. We were guided through the amenities, and left to relax. We ate breakfast each day in the restaurant - the staff were so friendly and everyone knows who you are right away. The breakfast options were plentiful, and delicious. We had already planned our activities for the week, but the staff were available if we needed any assistance. We had dinner there several nights as well, also delicious! The resort is so small and always quiet and serene - which is what we were looking for - you felt completely at home, and the service was very personal. I had an unfortunate incident requiring a visit to the ER, and the staff knew the next day and came to check on me. My family member had an incident on one of our tours, and the staff checked in on her, and also called the tour company to discuss what happened - even though we had booked on our own. The level of personal service, the beauty of the resort is what stood out for us. We brought our two children and they loved the beach, the food, and the welcome gifts they received. We wish we could have stayed longer! Everyone was so amazing - we couldn't single anyone out, as they all deserve kudos and appreciation. The only con? We had to leave to go home!
