Good city hotel

Feb 19th, 2020

The hotel itself is a huge complex with 20 stories. My room was a little dark and the internet barely worked. In the public areas it was ok. The lifts to the rooms were mostly packed or under maintenance, so you really had to wait for ages... It has a huge gym with a very weak AC and a pool which has a roof. The staff is absolutely nice and friendly. I book easily a tour in the hotel for good prices. The area around is very local, but ok. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely Stay

Feb 18th, 2020

We came to Mexico City for the first time in January and were so glad we booked this hotel. It is beautiful and clean, with well-appointed rooms. The pool area is very nice, as is the high end gym. In the evening there is a pianist and 2 violinists, all talented young women who play in the bar area. I would definitely choose this hotel again. It is in a safe neighbourhood with many restaurants. However, beware of the “shoe shine man” on the street in front who says he is the hotel barber as well. He approached my husband and I on our last evening when we were on our way to dinner. My husband was wearing sandals and repeatedly said he did not want his shoes shined. However, this fellow whipped out creams and rags anyway and got to work. He got more cream on my husbands socks than on the sandals. We thought he was just killing time until his next willing customer. I gave him all the coins I had, about 15 pesos. We were shocked when he demanded 160 pesos. I did give him that as he was becoming more insistent. Fortunately a young man who spoke English came out of the gym next to the hotel and asked if there was a problem. We explained what happened and he managed to get 50 pesos back for us. We still paid too much for an unwanted service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location. Good services

Feb 18th, 2020

Really enjoyed a weekend at this hotel. Room was very nice with excellent view. Location on Reforma is great and easy walk to Alameda and Zona Historico. Hotel restaurants are nice and reasonable. Spa is nice especially steam and sauna. Pool is small and was quite busy. But overall would definitely return to this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lives up to 4* standard

Feb 14th, 2020

We stayed at this hotel on our Christmas vacation. The hotel lived up to 4-star standard. The location was within walking distance of the old town, in a business district among other high-rises. The neighborhood looked clean and safe. Hotel has interesting architecture with a large atrium in the middle and glass-enclosed elevators. The room was large and comfortable. The only issue: internet did not stay connected. It was relatively fast during the week, but very slow on the weekend. On Christmas Eve we ordered room service since it was the only option to have dinner. It was edible, but not very tasty. We had breakfast buffet every morning. It was reasonably priced and had a good selection. I would stay again at this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great unless you want to sleep at night

Feb 10th, 2020

It turned out that I was hosted in a so called connecting room that shared a thin wall and was connected by a paper thin door to another room where there happened to be parties both nights of my stay. I do not understand why they would put others than families in these sort of rooms. Not suitable for sleeping! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
