Friendly, Great Location, Perfect for Pets!

Jan 5th, 2020

The Beachside Inn is our favorite place to vacation. We have been there several times. Everyone is so nice. The staff there treat you like old friends . The neighborhood is safe and beautiful. The Inn is very clean and pretty. It is perfect for pets with a nice exercise area and tile floors. The rooms are bright and cheerful and the beds are very comfortable. Camille’s restaurant on site has delicious food. We especially enjoyed sushi- the Spider Roll with fresh crab and avacado. The views are gorgeous and it is just a few steps to the beach. Quick Stay before a VPS flight

Nov 26th, 2019

We stayed for a night before a flight & we where very happy with a clean spacious room! We arrived after 5pm so we got our key easily from the lock box, instructions where very easy to follow. Once we got to the room we found a crisp clean large room with a welcome breakfast bread. I personally liked how the bathroom area was separate from the sink so I could freshen up for dinner while my husband showered. A makeup counter is included in the design along with an ironing board. They have a mini kitchenette in the room so you can chill wine, beer or bring back left overs. Toaster & coffee maker are also provided. Beds are very comfortable and pillows are nice. Sheets are soft & comfortable. Everything in room looks very well maintained & for a “motel” atmosphere it gives a better hospitality stay then some 4 star hotels. TV is nice size and perfect for football season. We stayed in a ground floor room & it was very quiet! You can walk across Old Hwy 98 to the beach (200 yards to be exact) & the dining on property is amazing! Camille’s is easy & delish! Some of the best sushi in town! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awesome Inn!

Oct 20th, 2019

This place was perfect for my family. We were traveling from North Carolina to Louisiana and thought Destin would make a nice stop over. It was me and my husband with our 4 year old and poodle. We wanted something inexpensive but close to the beach. We also needed it to be pet friendly. I came across this Inn on Expedia so I booked it. On a previous trip, we had breakfast several times at Camilles. So I knew that we liked the location. Plus it’s so close to the Craft Bar which my husband likes a lot. Then the Inn is located directly across the street from the public beach access. All of these things make it a true bargain! Also upon arrival, they gave us a wonderful lemon poppyseed bread. We were able to enjoy this every morning! We also booked bikes at the bike rental next door. It was $30 for 2 bikes and $15 for the trailer for a 24 hour rental. It’s always fun to bike the bike trail along scenic 98. We ended up eating breakfast at Camilles Cafe every day. We also ate dinner at Camilles Restaurant three times while staying there. It was too convenient and delicious to pass up! Plus we ended up arriving just in time for a tropical storm. So we did have to spend some time close to the hotel while it rained. Also due to the storm, we ended up extending our stay by a day. I booked directly this time. Kellie gave us a nice deal. Next time instead of booking through a 3rd party, I will book direct! They are such a pleasure to deal with and even offer discounts to people that come back to stay. This will definitely be our go to when we just want to get away for a couple of days. I have searched for a hotel like this in the area and this one fits the bill. I also love the old Florida hotel vibe. It reminds me of trips I use to take as a kid. And it is spotless!! We will definitely be back to this Inn. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Rather unusual

Sep 8th, 2019

First off, we arrived after 5pm and had to find a box by an elevator that thankfully a valet parking man showed us. It is not obvious. The documents we signed failed to state the name or address clearly and we had no idea how we would know our room number. (All in this envelope as we later found out) We took an elevator and ended up in a restaurant and somehow found out the way to the upper balcony and our room. It needs to be stated that after-hours there is no staff so good luck getting assistance. In fact, we never got a WIFI code. Then the parking is tight and the restaurant puts cones out to block you turning in to the driveway so they can control the flow of traffic. The streets are all in a certain direction and unless you use the side entrance you are forced around the block. The parking slots are not assigned for each room and it's a free for all. Then the valet told us that depending on where we parked we might be blocked in for the evening by any larger vehicles if he had to park them. Now, the bed we had seemed way smaller than a queen and my side had a divet that caused me to wake up throughout the night so I could flip over. I slept way better in 2 other hotels in the area. The water pressure in the shower was low and I was greeted by a bug when I stepped out of my shower. The toilet area smelled of urine. The ceiling fan had differnt lightbulbs and was a mess when turned on and the bathroom had terrible lighting. The remote to the tv either did not work or was very sluggish. Last but not least, when booking I was under the impression it was on the beach when in fact it was across the street. If you like a hotel with a lobby and a staff, then this is not your hotel. Great stay

Sep 7th, 2019

We arrived after hours but there is a lock box with the parking pass and room code. We loved our room. It was clean and roomy. We ate at the restaurant upstairs and it was fabulous. We decided last minute to stay another night and the next morning the staff was so accommodating they were able to get us a room right away. I would absolutely recommend this place to others. The beach is right across the street and the neighborhood is very safe. Destin is a great destination for a day's drive. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
