Great stay!

Aug 24th, 2019

Stayed one night with my daughter visiting Boston University. Easily accessible via walking distance to all points on the university's campus. Such a beautiful neighborhood! Hotel is quaint, exactly what I envisioned and promised by pictures and reviews. Was very accommodating in letting us keep our things in our room and park until we returned from our visit at 1pm. The lemon poppyseed hot muffin for breakfast was excellent! Coffee was perfect! Getting a good cup of coffee says a lot about a hotel, inn, etc.. to me and the Beacon Inn did not let me down! It felt more like my own house that I was staying in which makes any stay more comfortable and inviting. This was my first trip to Boston and the city was absolutely beautiful and clean. We went to the North End for dinner and of course Mike's Pastry shop. It doesn't feel right to leave there without one of those boxes! We fell in love with the city and the university and will definitely be back at the Beacon Inn! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely Staff

Aug 17th, 2019

This hotel is lovely, very comfortable beds, located right beside the subway stop and good air con. But the best thing is definitely the staff, Sue helped us with late checkin, late check out, helped us carry our bags up to the top floor and was just genuinely amazing. Just great staff! There is also good facilities like a microwave, coffee machine, nice breakfast etc. Would recommend! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quaint and charming but poorly managed

Aug 11th, 2019

This inn is conveniently located near Downtown Boston right off the Green line. I didn’t expect four star quality from an old building; I knew what I was paying for. Still I expect a working bathroom door. In the course of our two night stay, the broken bathroom pocket door did NOT get fixed and we were offered no recompense for the inconvenience. If you book a room with a site like Trivago (as several reviews note) you may be mislead to expect free parking— parking is $30 a night and NOT even guaranteed. Parking is noted on the “policy” page of the inn’s website—but should be much more prominent given the fact that there is NO overnight street parking in Brookline. A competitive price and a convenient location but disappointingly unprofessional. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beacon Inn 1087 Boston

Aug 3rd, 2019

We had a very pleasant stay at the 1087 Beacon Inn we rarely travel and easily get lost in cities but the hotel sent us very straight forward directions to get from the airport to the subway system. Eric was super helpful at the front desk and overall great breakfast and great stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quaint, Homey Inn

Jul 22nd, 2019

I was in Boston for business and this stay made my trip so enjoyable. The location is great (right at train, restaurants about 2 blocks away) - you are part of a neighborhood and I felt very safe. Every afternoon I walked down to the bakery and sat outside with my computer and worked for a couple of hours. It was so nice. And I loved getting to know the hosts and other guests you see in the am. Nicole and Xue were wonderful and accommodating. ** bring a small car if you want to park. ** expect to carry your bags up stairs to your room (no elevator). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
