SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Feb 9th, 2020

Rooms were dirty and the noise from the main road was terrible which left me struggling to sleep. Breakfast was horrible and way overpriced. Rooms were small. Walls were thin and you could hear the neighbours. There’s a lot of work need doing here if I was to go back to Amsterdam I’d pay that little bit extra just to stay somewhere tidy. I WONT be staying here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not impressed

Feb 9th, 2020

We were immediately disappointed by the overall standard of the room, the carpets were stained, the walls were chipped, and the bathroom was grubby. To make matters worse, we had no warning of the constant noise of the trams that were running throughout the night, both of us had very little sleep. The hearing must’ve been turned off towards the evening making it VERY cold, however the heat was unbearable in the morning. Overall I was disappointed with the standard of the room especially as I felt that we had paid a fair bit of money. However I cannot complain about the convenience of the location. Terrible hotel and very dirty

Dec 30th, 2019

I don’t understand how they can charge the money for this dump. We booked our Christmas holidays in that hotel for a whole week. Our bedsheets were changed only once and they never vacuumed our floor during the 7 days. Room is super small, there is no space for the luggage. Walls and carpets are dirty. There are dirty finger princes all over the walls. When you enter the room there’s this fierce cloak smell. There are drain flies all over the room and toilet. Which is a sign that their pipes are super bad condition. We also had small ants going around in our bathroom. We had to buy earplugs because of the traffic noise outside. Windows are old and it gets very bad air in the room. They don’t even have proper sheets. You will sleep on the mattress cover, which feels like a towel. Please pay a little extra and you get a normal hotel. This is NOT a 3 star hotel. It’s a total crap! I wish I never paid this money for this ****hole. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very good value, great staff!

Dec 18th, 2019

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel for four nights. We booked our room very last minute and found that this hotel was much cheaper than similar hotels in the area. The room and bathroom were both clean, modern and spacious. We were pleasantly surprised with the standard of our room given the price. The location of the hotel is also fantastic as the centre of Amsterdam is so easy to access via tram (although we walked most days). The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating during our stay also. The room that we were given initially was facing a busy road therefore we found it difficult to sleep with the noise of the traffic. When we spoke to staff about this the next morning, they were more than happy to move us to a quieter room, which made all the difference. If you're looking for a hotel on a budget with a great location and with all the amenities, I would recommend staying at the Belfort. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good hotel, well located and friendly staff

Really dont understand the bad reviews of this place. It's a well priced hotel with comfy beds and good en suite bathrooms. You can get most places round the city so quickly and it's near 2 lovely parks. Stayed here for 3 nights and had no problems at all and it's near some good eaterys by the canal to the west. Rooms were warm and we could open the window to cool down if needed. Stay here if you need a bed to sleep in, that's easy to get around town from. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
