Yes, this is what 5 stars looks and feels like. Over the course of a 10 day holiday, we had stayed in 3 other places on the Amalfi Coast, they were good but none could compare....this is a special place. Perfection carved into a mountain overlooking the sea. It all starts with Service, Service, Service and with a smile. Greeted at the car by a lead concierge, car and luggage handled without a word, given a glass of prosecco as we were shown the property which you really have to see to believe, white, marble, trees, patios, vistas, atriums, levels.........Arrived ahead of check in time, no problem, we got a free upgrade and shown to a room immediately without even asking and we were down at the beach having cocktails and snacks within minutes of arrival. Front Desk Staff tremendous. Spa Staff tremendous. Wait Staff tremendous. Pros: -Valet Parking -Complimentary food and drinks 12 hours a day (wine, beer, aperol, water) -Onsite Spa with a wide menu of offerings (and yes, I chose several) -Waterfront Dining (multiple levels and locations and incredible views) -Beautiful Rooms, high quality Air Con, High Quality Bedding, mini bar, robes -A real shower (you know what I mean if you've travelled Italy) -Balcony view from the room, overlooking the private beach and Vesuvius -Private Beach with stairs or elevator access, the stairs are actually nicer -Sunbeds, Umbrellas, food and drink service -Small but nice, separate pool on upper patio w/ breathtaking view of the sea -Brilliant and Attentive Staff 24 / 7 -Outstanding food and menu selection -Walk to everything, main shopping district, dozens of great restaurants -The view, The view, The view -Everyone in Sorrento comes to take their pictures from the Bellevue Front Entrance It's expensive --which is why we could only stay a few nights, but by far the best way to end an already great vacation on the Amalfi Coast. "Pros" or "Cons" of Bellevue Syrene or Mind the Beauty...
Aug 18th, 2019
Have you ever been able to notice that totally independent from the hotel management bright sun, sparkling sea, abrupt rocks and safely distant but visible Vesuvius may compensate for many things, like: (a) average quality food and relaxed chef?; or (b) questionable quality of service at the terrace bar?; or Should one stop, google for elsewhere and go - meaning to check-out? Be careful and mind the beauty! You will definitely stay, as your morning "wake-up" view will cut your breath and you will not have neither force nor will to look for oxygen mask... Mind the beauty - didn’t I tell you? So, many people - not only tourists - are coming here to enjoy the beauty and to relax, which viruses indeed many others around including... But still remember and mind the beauty and many other people who do great job despite sun, sea and Vesuvius. Who are they? Invisible cleaning ladies, great guys at the sun deck and... Also the concierge who - most probably knowing the chef’s skills - will honestly recommend you few great alternatives to enjoy lunch or dinner di Napoletana or that old chap who understandably forgot my espresso but finally brought it at no charge. How often you heard in the hotel to lunch elsewhere? Any other “cons”? Yeap, stylish design, entry passage a-la Roman senator, library and free of charge lounge open almost round o’clock... Bravo! Probably someone else knows about the terrace bar to compensate its "super-efficiency". That trainee who cooks breakfast, though, must send his CV to Mandarin Oriental or Four Seasons domani - bellisimo e grazie! Girls at service were good too. Why is this review? And why so early while I am still in the hotel? This is not typical for anyone - everybody is careful and mindful these days, and... Mind the beauty! I would love to come back! I would love to enjoy another time going down and climbing back beach rocky stairs. It is easy as it is inside of the chilling rocks. Forget lifts - I am sure you should have enjoyed enough skyscrapers in New York, Moscow, Shanghai or Singapore (I feel really sorry for Seoul or Sydney where I have been yet) - walk down&up - imagine that your wine cellar is behind that wall?! Old palace, meaning the lack of signs and entertaining quest - how to find beach lift and many other places - you would love it, as one must mind the beauty! Anything else? The library, of course - I would love to leave my book there, but not this time, - thus I would love to come back! Finally why such a strange and early review? I love this place, as that guy, who will "Torna a Surriento". And I will come back too, but before I wonna it be better... And hopefully right now! At least, domani! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Bellevue Syrene is a romantic boutique hotel that oozes relaxed charm. The restaurant and lower terrace for drinks have the most astonishing views - the food and cocktails are of the highest order. Featuring its own private jetty surrounded by the warm Adriatic, this beach area is accessible by a lift through a cliff. With plenty of loungers, beach towels and refreshments, there’s no need to get here early to put your towel on your seat. Light snacks and drinks are always available (at no cost) in the tasteful lounge area. There is a small spa for treatments and a tiny pool (more of a puddle with walls) for a dip. Rooms are big and luxurious in an old fashioned sort of way (albeit with all mod cons). The staff are universally friendly and super helpful. We don’t normally return to a hotel - the world’s too big to repeat an experience - but after a week at the Bellevue Syrene, we are already planning our next trip. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Bellevue Syrene is the most beautiful place to be. The view, staff, and food are absolutely amazing. The staff cater to every want and need you may possibly have - and with a smile. Our room was overlooking the sea. Such a breathtaking view. The restaurant serves delicious food that is made special for everyone. They always had a lot of gluten free food for me and created dishes for us with our many different food allergies. We love this hotel and everything about it. It was our second time there and we're already talking about next year. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
