Better hotels in Stratford

Oct 27th, 2020

Rooms are tired. Junior suites are overpriced, do not include breakfast and do not deliver on expectations for the additional money paid. We stayed at the Hotel Indigo in Stratford the night before and paid £40 less for a suite with full breakfast. The experience and product were world aparts from the Villare hotel. Hotel lacks atmosphere. Staff are transactional and act as if not interested in engaging and connecting with customers. Limited spaces in car park. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel is called The Villare Hotel, not Great Western, but has taken a turn for the better Great hotel Clean Fresh Modern rooms, recently refurbished Staff excellent Great location, 10 mins into town Worth far more for what you pay Many top star hotels in the area, but this hotel is up there with the best, if not the best, in Stratford TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

New kid in town...

Sep 27th, 2020

New name ‘VILLARE HOTEL’...new staff, revamped rooms and very impressive. Been visiting here for 8 years or so, well used to the area.. Password for Wi-Fi in rooms but, Does NOT tell you which letters are ‘Caps’ had to ask at reception..The Shower in bathroom had 3 different dials/buttons to press, we had some trouble getting hot water, but made do.. No instructions again.. Bed was super comfy, Staff excellent as before.. Stairs were a problem for me so I asked before we traveled for a ground floor if possible, but we were given a first floor room.. Unfortunately this caused a few health problems, but we had no choice...Super size T.V in rooms plus coffee, tea, sugar etc...Just a few ‘Tweaks’ need sorting but a great place to say.. Not a pleasant experience.

Aug 23rd, 2020

Now trading as the Villare Hotel, you need to be eagle eyed to spot it if you’re driving as there is no visible signage. Positives: Managed to check in early as the room was ready. Decent tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Cheap. Negatives: Car parking situation is a joke. Charge you £6 and there’s no guarantee of a space. Room 203 faces the road, constant traffic noise. Curtains not big enough for window and let a flood of light in. Some sort of thumping music heard loudly in the room until 1.30am. Massively drunk other guests running and shouting in corridors until 2am. Pay more money and stay somewhere less chavvy. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
