Totally relaxed

My stay at your hotel was great. My room was perfect. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. This was the 1st time that I have stayed at a Best Western in 20 years and I loved. I will be back. Be blessed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

If you’re not looking for a place to get a good nights sleep, this is the place to go, there’s a constant hum of distant conversations easily audible in the room which only dies down after 11. If your neighbors decide to get freaky, congratulations, you get a front row seat, you will be able to hear everything that goes on in their room! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Decent economic stay

The hotel staff were friendly and nice. There were just 2 things that turned me off. I had to wave my hand in front of the sensor for the door to open. I felt like this delayed my time to stand there an wave my hand. Also the tv remote was terrible. I had to changed rooms. The other remote only worked for the volume. It took 2 mins for the channel to finally change that was each time. Other than that the price was decent for 5 days. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Took my money, so don't book if your plans might be changed due to COVID!

I never actually stayed here. I'd had reservations here held for several months for a November 21-22 event in the area which was postponed to spring due to COVID, plus there was a death in my family so we were not going to be staying either way for 2 circumstances beyond my control. I worked on getting my travel package, which included 4 nights in this hotel, credited or refunded and they refused so I'm out over $300 bucks on the hotel stay. The third party booking agency I used tried to get me a refund. The people who planned our event tried to get me a refund and explain the situation. I tried to get a refund or a credit or even an attempt to transfer the dates to when the event was likely postponed to and they wouldn't budge. They would not give me my money. Said the manager could call me back within 72 hours and by that time we should have been checking in so I know they did that in order to not refund me. They kept telling me they had no COVID policy due to North Carolina being an "open state." Well, open state or not, my event was postponed and I had no reason to stay there those 4 days I had reserved. I will be returning to Matthews/Charlotte in the spring but I will not be giving this hotel my business. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Mold in bathrooms, false advertising, rude staff, terrible customer service

We were promised adjoining rooms, fitness center availability onsite and offsite, and a certain price but delivered NONE of the above. They billed us double the advertised price for the second room. The bathroom was covered in mold. We asked for a different room, a discount, help paying for fitness access elsewhere, free cancellation, anything to compensate us for the miserable experience and their failure to provide what they promised. The customer service agents at the desk and online through Reservation Desk refused to provide us anything and laughed at us. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
