Heading back home to bury my father!!!!
Aug 31st, 2020
***ATTENTION!!!!*** QUARANTINE detention CENTER Do NOT BOOK HERE QUARANTINE they take your money give u a confirmation number, we arrived just to notice not one vehicle in the parking lot. Security guards standing in front of the building with a line up of COVID-19 patients... we thought to ourselves that they wouldn't have sent us into something like that???? My husband put on his mask " thank god" thinking we were going to check into this eeary place and once he got to the front desk they turned us around because they are a COVID-19 QUARANTINE CENTER!!! They put my family (2 month old son) at risk, We are crossing the country with my husband to go bury my father. Had to sleep in the truck with dog and 2 month old son due to their miscommunications. To us that's a HUGE mess up! We are NOT the type to complain but their refusal to reimburse us for the room we did not sleep in due to COVID-19 really upset us both.... 227.95$ to sleep in our own truck just doesn't seem right to me.... we were kept on hold then hung up before getting ahold of someone just to find out that they refused to reimburse us load of crap thank you for making our minds up for us to never use best western ever again.... i absolutely loved each and every experience we had prior to this absolute disaster. We need to resolve this issue but they chose to ignore and drop the calls big old thumbs down 👎 thank you for ripping off a new mourning middle class family. Sad... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Long drive break

We were so happy to find a hotel accommodation this particular evening after driving a 1000+ kms even though lacking in bed space we opted to take it so we can rest our tired body. This is an old hotel as you can smell the smelly floor carpet all over TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Have stayed here in the past. Although the rooms are showing some wear, the proximity to the airport is great. For our last stay, when we walked into the room, it was uncomfortably hot. We turned the AC down to chill the room, and went to bed. Woke up and the room was stifling, so I tried to open the window but the crank was broken, and there was a huge amount of dust and tree fluff in between the screen and the window. I would not have opened it anyway, to let all that dirt/pollen/etc. blow into the room. In the morning, after waking up one hour late (both clocks in the room were 1 hour behind), went to make coffee and there was one pod and one cup only. Went into the bathroom to wash up only to discover that there was only ONE facecloth! Only one drinking glass as well!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Best place to stay.

This location is the first place we look at when we travel to Winnipeg. It's close to the airport with free shuttle service to and from. The staff is great, friendly, courteous and professional. Rooms are good and clean. Great restaurant just off the lobby. Great value for the money. Stayed here many times. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel was because it's a Best Western. I expected more. I chose this one because of its proximity to the airport and downtown figuring it might be better equipped for travelers during Covid. It want busy there but our floor was... Our room was exposed to the busier street meaning noisier due to street traffic. The ice machine didn't work on our floor. With minimal business over the past few months why use this floor and why hadn't it been fixed? The topper was the lack of internet access. Two calls to the front desk and then a call from an IT person suggesting the problem was with our four different devices did not resolve the issue despite the settings telling us there was no connection. A promised call back never came. A fan blowing on their servers in the lobby may have been a clue. Next morning's complaint to the new front desk person fell on deaf ears " I know nothing about it, I just started my shift". A nice enough hotel otherwise. But people need internet access in hotel these days. When I booked the room a few hours earlier while en route to Winnipeg I asked for a CAA discount which was agreed too. After leaving I noticed no discount had been applied - my bad for not checking but I was more agitated about the clerk's disinterest. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
