Location is good but...

The location is very nice, only 15 minutes to the Grand Canyon visitor center With plenty of restaurants near by The room is very basic and appetite be clean until I move the night stand to put my phone charger in the socket, I found a bag of loose candies Perhaps the cleaning staff never see that but I bothers me I am hesitant to request room change because we were all settled and done our basic disinfection Other than that, it is the Best Western you’d expect TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Selected hotel due to the good reviews over The Grand. 1st room we checked in door was not locked. Carpet was dirty not vacuumed, DND sign on the floor, tub didn't look clean, stain on the wall, really wrinkled bed sheets, smelled musty, and to top it off toilet didn't work. Got moved to another room 2 queens. Rooms are a plain simple and look dated but with plenty of amenities like a Keurig, fridge, micro. Bathroom pretty small. Pillows were small sized and bed lumpy so did some tossy. A/C is noisy so if you are a light sleeper may not be for you. For a one night stay was okay for what we needed. Breakfast was great we had the burrito was perfect size with side of hash browns and some coffee. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Excellent hotel that exceeded expectations

If you have preconceptions that Best Westerns are just average places, throw that idea out the window for this place. The lobby was spectacular, and featured tasteful and wonderful bronze statuary and murals related to the Grand Canyon. The service at the front desk was excellent; I needed extra time to check out, since of course I stayed at the Grand Canyon longer than I should have. I was given a late check-out with no questions asked. The rooms were clean and the decor was simple but tasteful and related to the canyon. A microwave and refrigerator were well worth the price, and I brought groceries and prepared food from Flagstaff for far less money than the not-at-all-surprising high prices for food in Tusayan. I would definitely stay here again for the convenience to the park, and for the excellent rooms and service! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Hassles and disappointment

Our trip was very disappointing. This BW Premier is using Covid as an excuse for understaffing and poor maintenance. We really looked forward to this trip as this has been a very stressful time. The broken hotel amenities, understaffing, staff contradictories made this trip itself stressful. Despite the fact that I confirmed directly with the hotel via FB Messenger that the arcade and bowling alley would be open Sunday night--I was told on Saturday night that it would not be open Sunday due to no staff be scheduled to work it. This was very disappointing for my small kids, as this was what they looked forward to most for the trip. During the 1 chance we were able to go to the arcade, the only coin machine in the arcade was broken. Also of the 3 bowling lanes, 1 was broken. The wait for bowling was very long because of the limited lanes. For dinner, I was sent on a wild goose chase to order kids meals. Due to contradictory information from the staff regarding where I could order kids meals; I (along with my tired, hungry, small kids) was sent from the bowling alley, to the restaurant, to the pool bar, back to the bowling alley, and ended up at the pool bar (with only 3 food choices available---still no kids meals). Exhausted, we sat by the outside fireplace and were thinking "this is nice..." but alas, the outside fireplace was broken. Despite there being a note on our reservation about the BW Rewards gift card, the gift card was not applied to my bill. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice rooms terrible food

The rooms are nice and clean. We had breakfast and the staff were terribly rude in the kitchen. We waited over 40 minutes for our food. It was ice cold when we got it. I told staff who refused to correct the issue. I told the front desk who just apologized, completely unacceptable service! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
