One of the best budget hotels we’ve stayed in!

Working as long haul truck drivers, we spend a lot of time in hotels. Big Spring Inn is by far the best budget hotel we have stayed in. The family that operates the hotel could not do enough for us. They even brought us okra from the family vegetable patch to take on the road! The room was immaculate, bathroom very clean. Bed comfy. We will definitely be back!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean, safe, great value! Our family has stayed here a couple times now. They have excellent customer service. You may prefer to bring your own towels as they are small. It's up on a hill with a pretty nice view. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Big Spring Inn is an inexpensive hotel stay option in Madisonville. For about half the price of staying at one of the major hotel brands you can stay here and you get a clean room, comfortable bed, and a convenient location. The breakfast offerings are minimal but there are both a Cracker Barrel and Denny's nearby. For an overnight it is a decent option. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our room had roaches. Went down to visit family, I would not recommend. On top of that the owner was very rude after a 9 hour drive. I made reservations and he didnt care just asked if we wanted a smoking or non smoking room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Inexpensive rate since we were only staying one evening instead of staying a Hampton or something of the like where we usually stay on most trips, but wanted to stay on a lower budget just for this weekend. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Upon arriving on Saturday afternoon the AC was turned off but it took mere minutes to cool down to a comfortable and satisfactory temperature. By bedtime, the air was blowing as a cold as a refrigerator just like I like it. Wifi was ok but the television had quite a few channels more on their cable TV even more so than a few higher end hotels that I have stayed in. Breakfast was very sparse. Cherios, Kelloggs Frosted Flakes Cereal, and pre packaged muffins and honey buns. For cereal you must get the gallon of milk out of the fridge where most establishments have it through a dispenser. No fruit or anything of the like that you might find in most hotel properties even in a continental breakfast offering. It appears there might have once been a swimming pool out in the parking lot area, but that was filled in with dirt and turned into a flower garden. Even in the heat there were people both Saturday and Sunday working on the flowers. Clean no frills room with little ammenities but an inexpensive rate. There used to be a Super Wal Mart next door but has recently closed. The Craker Barrel is within walking distance. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
