This hotel has all kinds of sketchy characters loitering on their premises. After I made my way through the cloud of marijuana smoke, past the prostitute who was clearly waiting for a client, past the room on the end that was housing a few meth/crack heads with junk piled to the ceiling, & past all the other random people hanging out & smoking weed & drinking in the parking lot, I quickly tried to get to my room before anyone either mugged me or I caught Covid 19 from them, and EVERY night I had to scurry back downstairs to the front desk to have them reset my key because it wouldn’t work! So then I got the pleasure of being scared for my life TWICE every night instead of just once! I asked the employee if they always had this rif raf wandering the premises & he seemed thoroughly confused, so I took that to mean YES. If you get a room on the weekend, don’t expect to sleep, because all of these upstanding citizens roam the halls loudly until about 4:00 or 5:00 am. I was moving my daughter into her apartment at IUB & this place gave me so much anxiety coming back to it each night, that I had to go & get my emotional support dog from my daughter’s apartment just to calm me down. And here’s the best part, they charged my bill because I brought her to my room. My small, trained, dog is cleaner & more behaved than 75% of this hotels customers! And I wouldn’t even had needed her there with me if this place didn’t allow, what looked like to me, drug & prostitution rings to be ran off of their premises! Seriously the most horrible experience I’ve ever had! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

After staying at the Travelodge for decades, we won't be again. First, our daughter was accosted by someone who purported to be the manager, wearing no mask, demanded she roll down her window to answer who she was and what she was doing here. She told him she was leaving, and did. The management was also redoing the parking lot, and apparently housing the people doing the work. Many of them were standing outside smoking, and we had to park at the other end of the lot, at the farthest place from our room. We didn't that, until we were called the next morning at 9:00 to move our car so they could do the OTHER end of the parking lot. We obliged, and moved the vehicle. 45 minutes later, we got another phone call telling us to move the car. We told them we had once--where do they want it moved to this time? The woman started talking to someone standing near her, and I finally hung up since she had tired of me. We were then trying to check out, which terribly inconvenienced the desk clerk who had already called us twice to move the car, since she was standing out front smoking. Another woman darted in the door, got in ahead of us, and took forever to check out, since the chain smoking clerk couldn't fathom how to take a cash payment. I called to the manager who had been harassing my daughter the night before, and he darted away denying he had anything to do with the motel. At that point, I deserted my poor husband and left him to wait on the clerk who couldn't do cash, and went on my way realizing with this sh*t show nothing was going to happen fast. My husband had requested that she just take his room keys, but no, he had to wait until the clerk managed to finish with the other woman. 45 minutes later, my husband cornered the manager and the manager (who had denied all knowledge of being the manager when I tried to stop him) berated him for not 'calling to report a problem.' Well, just he is not the mananger, we are not customers. The room was also dirty from a repair not cleaned up--smears of some kind of oily epoxy were on the bathroom floor and the wrapper from an upright bolt were left in the shower. Considering my husband and I wore masks the entire time we were in public, none of the employees, nor the manager kept their distance nor wore masks. Hardly surprising, but we won't be going back. All the employees we had known for years were gone, and the chain smoking clerk, whom I saw several times outside, was a disaster. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed here last night and I found everything at the cheapest rate. I am traveling a lot so, I would definitely come back here. The staff was very friendly. If you come with your family then there is a big mall for shopping. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Low price matches the quality of the room! Only redeeming aspect was the very firm bed!

This hotel has friendly staff but the hotel is in great need of updating with paint chips everywhere, upholstery old and dirty, lamp shades torn, etc. Wyndham needs to put in some corporate attention to this site as it is in a great location near the university and walking distance to a central shopping street right across the street. This Travelodge is practically the first thing you see when entering the campus area. There's a large shopping mall with food court, and dozens of restaurants just across the street. Ideal location. My room was very comfortable and clean. Very friendly staff. Pleasant breakfast room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
