Luxury at its best.

Dec 8th, 2019

Booked the penthouse here for my company Christmas party in Glasgow, found the hotel and staff to be of the highest order nothing was to much trouble to make our stay warm and welcoming,my first time here but definitely not my last. If I had to complain about anything I would suggest maybe in the penthouse instead of sachet coffee and milk maybe up your game and put decent coffee and fresh milk. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, many thanks to Michael and Colin in guest services who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our visit in fact the whole team are a credit to Kimpton Hotels. Beautiful hotel with outstanding staff!

Dec 6th, 2019

We stayed at this hotel for one of my daughters' graduations and wanted something special and got it! The hotel is elegant, with high ceilings and marble floors - very classy. The staff were very, very helpful and friendly. We were travelling with my elderly Mum who has mobility issues so booked an accessible room and were delighted with it. The room was suitable for wheelchair users or those walking with sticks etc - there were grab rails in the huge bathroom, which had a walk-in, or roll-in, shower and also a rail by the toilet etc. There were alarm cords, and even a "spy hole" in the door at the right height for wheelchair users - very thoughtfully designed. The "standard" bedrooms were equally lovely - high ceilings & lovely decor. All the rooms had all the equipment you would expect - kettle with tea/coffee/biscuits; a mini-bar (prices not bad at all!); iron & ironing board, safe etc. Breakfast was excellent - an array of hot choices cooked to order including a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast, eggs benedict etc plus cereals, fruit salad/melon/citrus fruits, cheese & ham, croissants etc. We ate in the in house restaurant "Bo & Birdy" (which is where breakfast is served) - again lovely food & outstanding service. There are spa facilities, but we didn't use them so can't comment. The only negative is parking - as with so many other city centre hotels there is not a dedicated carpark, however there is parking outside which is free for blue badge holders but chargeable for normal cars. We had a wonderful stay & would thoroughly recommend the hotel. Absolutely outstanding! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely Afternoon Tea Experience

Dec 4th, 2019

Came for a Festive Afternoon Tea at Blythswood with my mother as a late birthday gift and we both had an absolutely splendid time! We had a table right beside the window with a lovely view of the gardens. The afternoon tea stands were gorgeous (have to compliment the delicious cakes and sausage roll snack as well) we also recieved a surprise birthday treat after mentioning it in passing from the delightful waitress that served us throughout, I can't remember her name but she had dark curly hair and was an absolute delight and made my mothers day! Overall lovely time and can't wait to come back again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Elegant hotel

It’s nice to stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, and the room was beautifully decorated. I enjoyed the hand dripping coffee in the room, and the breakfast was excellent . It felt good to stay here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
