Very nice upmarket but not stuffy hotel. Friendly and helpful staff and lovely modern rooms with very comfortable bed and great blackout curtains. Nice public areas and lovely outlook at front of building. No hotel parking but they provide valet parking at local multi storey for £30 a day. 10 minute downhill walk into Buchanan Street. Were kind enough to provide early check in to help the rest of the day. Would stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Amazing hotel, restaurant and spa

Gorgeous hotel located right in the heart of Glasgow city centre, whilst providing a serene and beautiful experience inside the hotel itself. The rooms are absolutely stunning and the beds are super comfortable. Limited menu but the food was amazing regardless. Staff are extremely attentive and were so accommodating and helpful in light of the recent restrictions. Had a massage and some time in the spa which was such a great experience, one of the best massages I have ever had! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Had lovely experience here as always just before lock down. Staff are fabulous and rooms fantastic. Brilliant spa. Can’t wait until the spa opens again so we can stay here again soon. Booked a different hotel recently as spa not open but nothing compares to the Blythswood. It’s more expensive but worth every penny. Best breakfast ever. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed at the Blythswood as part of a complaints settlement with their sister hotel the Grand Central. We were there for 1 night and had a great time. The reception were able to check us in a couple hours earlier which made our stay even better. The room was clean and very large. We upgraded to a King Deluxe room which had a large bed (two singles pushed together) and an enormous bathroom with separate bath and shower. The staff were excellent and very attentive. We enjoyed breakfast the following morning. I had pancakes and my partner had the Scottish Breakfast. Overall we had an excellent stay and look forward to staying at the hotel again. Would thoroughly recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We were a little nervous about booking this hotel given some of the other more negative reviews. That said, we’re so glad we did choose this hotel. We booked a garden view suite, and the room did not disappoint! The bed was one of the biggest and most comfortable we’ve ever had in a Scottish hotel, and you could practically swim in the bath tub. What really made our stay was the staff though. The staff were some of the most friendly we’ve ever encounter - and literally every member of staff made the effort to enquire into how our stay was going and if there was anything they could do to help us. From assistance with our luggage, to being fussy with the breakfast menu, nothing was too much for the staff at this hotel. The only (tiny) hitch with our entire stay was a couple of out of date drinks in the mini bar, which we didn’t notice until after opening them, and realising they tasted flat. That said, give the hotel had only recently reopened (given Covid 19) this is entirely forgivable. Furthermore, whilst settling our bill, whilst we mentioned the drinks as a point of feedback, and the receptionist immediately removed all charges for everything we’d had from the mini bar. We felt this was a very kind gesture and further added to the fact that you absolutely couldn’t fault our stay; as even when small hitches occur, the staff immediately fix them. Thank you to the hard working staff at this hotel - we will most definitely be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
