New Year's Trip

Jan 2nd, 2021

The good parts first.. this place has a ton of slots to play. There is also a good amount of table games as well as plenty of places to eat. The bad part is the service in the Amphora Lounge. Gave my order sheet to the waiter, 20 minutes go by and no food. A second waiter comes and I give her my order. Wrong food. Finally got the order right; so much for VIP service. But the worst part was when I went to go get a drink at Long Bar. The bartender said they were closed even though it wasn't 9:30 pm yet. As I walk out, I see three people come in and he serves them. If you have a VIP card, you are supposed to get better service. Maybe the casino will get back to its high standards by the spring. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We checked in on 12/28. The room was nice, although some stains were visible here and there. The most bizarre part that really put a downer on our trip occurred when we returned to our room and a member of housekeeping (female working on the 40th floor around 3 pm) asked us ‘can I help you’ in a very stern voice. I thought we had done something it was so stern! We said no we are just heading to our room. She looked at us like we shouldn’t have been there at all. Then we realized we were walking the wrong way and turned around. At that point she proceeded to make a strange hand gesture and glared at us. I could only assume that maybe that corridor was unoccupied and she was (in an extremely rude way) trying to tell us that our room was probably the other way? It was very weird and uncomfortable. In addition we had to leave the pool area despite making a reservation because although the hot tub said 6 people maximum it was being ignored. The attendant eventually said the hot tub was over capacity at which point I expected those who ignored the sign to get out, but of course they just sat there ignoring the attendant. So we just left at that point, it was very disappointing. There was hardly any social distancing in the pool and it made me wonder why we had to reserve a time slot in the first place. We don’t plan on going back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Loved it and hated it! Very disappointed with Bobby Flay! The staff horrible!

Dec 16th, 2020

I enjoyed the room. Not large but large enough. I loved the pool. i enjoyed the location and the size of the pool. You felt very safe in the hotel. Various washing stations and shields. I had an awesome time in the hot tub...very relaxing. However, I couldn't wait to go to Bobby Flay's restaurant. He is one of my favorite chefs. I ordered a steak. I started choking on his steak. Large peppercorns were on this steak and got stuck in my throat. My mouth started burning. The waiter bought me milk to cool my mouth. I was told that's how they cook it. I was never asked if I wanted something different. The spinach...Boston Market's is better. Definitely not worth the money. I was very disappointed in the staff and the food. The next day I ate in one of the restaurants for breakfast. I had a $50 voucher from the hotel. I ordered breakfast. First, the waiter told me that they couldn't take the voucher and I asked for the Manager. The waiter then returned and said "he" could take it. I ate and he took the voucher and said thanks. I said I should have money left, I only had eggs. He said oh, ok. I never made up a bill for you. What! No bill! You are taking $50 for eggs. That's not acceptable. After waiting for an hour, I finally received additional food to take with me. I have booked another hotel in AC for the New Year! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

They act like they are the only place to go in AC and they are trying to charge my credit card even though I cancelled and they didn’t want to hear anything. Very rude customer service and VIP customer service who are just plain nasty. I been going to AC for over 30 years and been treated well by other casinos and I don’t complain but I had to write this. Stay far away from Borgata and I will tell everyone and let my credit card company deal with Borgata. STAY FAR AWAY THERE ARE ALOT OF BEAUTIFUL CASINOS IN AC BESIDES THIS RUDE PLACE!!!!!
