Gorgeous place!

This hotel is outstanding! The rooms are gorgeous and so are the views. The service is awesome, from the front desk, to housekeeping and turn down service. Everything is very clean and comfortable and the staff is phenomenal. I would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Front Desk Made this a 4 Star

Reserved this hotel at Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts. You get a lot of amenities, many not guaranteed, but none the less offered. Early/late check in, $100 hotel credit, etc. I thought for certain I booked a two queen room. My bad. Turns out they don't have rooms with two queens. We arrived on a quiet February Saturday afternoon and were told we had a two double room. I can't even fathom why hotels even use double beds these days, but ok. Front desk person could give a you know what if I wanted to try and get my upgrade to a suite with a King bed and pull out for my kids. Her colleague leaned over and said the word no hotel guest ever wants to hear...."I am fully committed today so we can't offer you a larger room". Do you own the hotel? YOU are fully committed or WE are? Fully committed is a soft pedal, non-committal phrase that says you're crud out of luck. On a spooky empty Saturday? The restaurants and bars were half empty all week. I told them I'd go up and check the room and possibly check out if not big enough. They could have cared less. She told me to go up and look at the room and let her know if I needed to check out. Nothing was heated. I did not use any profanity. OMG. Ok. Cool. Your competition would love to have me, I'm sure. We checked the room and it was nicely appointed in old school Boston beds and furnishings. Very clean and nice. But two adults in a double? Awful! So we slept like mummies with our arms to our side for four nights. This was a college tour and the ironic part is that if my kid gets into a Boston university we will not stay here on visits. The front door team was very nice and the check out guy nice too. I also thought it uncanny how each and every person getting breakfast had to be approved by the front desk by a physical phone call to the front desk. It made for an awkward moment while the hostess called to make sure we weren't ripping them off on a free breakfast. This is not very professional. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Loved this review!

Stayed here for 3 nights last summer as part of our babymoon. As first time visitors to Boston we couldn't have been more happy with this hotel! Service and amenities were great. We enjoyed breakfast out on the patio each morning and spent the days wandering the city, which the central location made easy to get around. Accommodations were luxurious and comfortable. Amazing Hotel on the Harbor

I stayed here for two nights in a Mariners Suite while visiting friends in Boston and loved the hotel. It was incredibly convenient to take the Rowe's Wharf Ferry directly from Logan to the hotel - much easier than taking a car. Check in was quick and staff was very gracious. When I got to my room I found it to be beautiful with a lovely view of the Harbor. There was a long entry hall to my room, ending in a living room with sofa, coffee table, chair, desk and television. French doors connected the living area to a bedroom with a king bed, nightstands, and a television on the small dresser. Finally, there was a bathroom with one sink and tub and separate shower and toilet. The room was quiet, and I had a fantastic sleep. The bed was very comfortable, and I was pleased that I could open the windows, as I love the fresh air (yes, even in November). All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. When I return to Boston with my family, I am hoping that we can find a room that will accommodate us here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed here for one night in January. Husband had early flight and it was my son's 11th birthday. Rate was surprisingly high for a Monday in January but the stay was perfect. We brought our dog and they are amazing with providing dog bed, treats, etc. They set up a super cute cupcake for my son. Wonderful gym and pool. Suite was very nice and they upgraded us. Most importantly - I have no idea where they find the gems that work here. Every single person who we interacted with during our stay was kind, attentive, and just outstanding. That's what sets this place apart - you hear about customer service but here you see it in action, consistently. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
