Great location - always clean and comfortable

Aug 29th, 2020

We've stayed twice now. The location is unbeatable - walk to University Hill, Pearl Street, farmers market, bike path, grocery store. Bathrooms are newly renovated and very spacious. Rooms are small but clean and cozy. Mini fridge and microwave in each room are nice to have. Staff is always friendly and efficient. It's not fancy but that just adds to the charm. Always dependably good

Aug 22nd, 2020

We always stay at the BUI when in Boulder. It's not a fancy place, but has everything we need: A clean comfortable room with a fridge and microwave, very conveniently located. They have stopped serving breakfast during the pandemic, but Alfalfa's, the natural foods supermarket across the street has plenty of things to choose from. You can also get a first rate therapeutic massage from Massage Specialists next door, then extend the relaxation by floating in the motel's pool. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Will stay again, next time in Boulder

Mar 14th, 2020

We have been to Boulder a few times, this was our first stay at Boulder University Inn and it will be our go to place from now on. The quality of the room, the staff and location were great. The rooms were updated, clean and comfortable. They provide a simple breakfast of cereal, yogurt, muffins, and juice. Coffee was available throughout the day and very good. We postponed getting our rental car because we were so close to everything in downtown Boulder, we were there for three shows at the Boulder Theater. We walked to all the shows and for lunch and dinner, never eating at the same place twice. Boulder has a great selection of restaurants all within walking distance of the BUI. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Cold, miserable experience

Mar 9th, 2020

Room was 46 degrees F on arrival, windows open and heat off with a foot of snow outside. I used a Debit plus PIN card to pay the bill. This card I rarely use. I was surprised that it did not run as a credit card and that it asked for my PIN. Fraudulent charges started appearing on the account within hours. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A good deal for downtown Boulder

Jan 29th, 2020

This is basically an upscale motel - and a pretty good deal for downtown Boulder. A U-shaped building, two floors, external stairs to the second floor, small office/breakfast area. The rooms are clean, the decor is basic, but functional. Prompt service. The HVAC unit is noisy - more or or less what you'd expect in a motel (or a Sheraton, for that matter). The bathroom doesn't seem to have its own heating, so it gets cold in the winter. Soundproofing might be better - quite a bit of noise from Broadway (The Boulder Broadway isn't quite as noisy as the New York Broadway, but they are trying). Close to the Pearl Street pedestrian area. The included breakfast is pretty basic, but it works. If you are looking for something more substantial than a bagel, check out cafes on Pearl St. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
