staying at brent house

Aug 4th, 2019

this is the second time staying there. the convenience to Ochsner is the reason I stay there. I would recommend it to anyone who has family in the hospital. It is easy to get to and very comfortable. My rooms have overlooked the pool and it was so pleasant. I could open the drapes, let the sun shine in and relax at a stressful time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stay for Hospital Appointment

Jul 1st, 2019

Sister had Dr. evaluation for liver transplant. Made early reservation but had to wait hours for a room upon arrival. Felt a bit upset about that. Stay was fine and comfortable. Wonderful food available at close hospital restaurant. A few miles away from the Downtown area. Used Ubers to get around. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very clean

Our stay was very comfortable here. It's a little distance from downtown but very nice and clean. Everyone was friendly and attentive to our questions and needs. If you don't necessarily need to be in the downtown area this is the ideal place to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel, would return

May 11th, 2019

We stayed at the Brent Hotel for 2 nights while travelling though New Orleans. Great because it had a free car park which allot of the more central hotels charge for. The room was spacious and the bed were very comfy. Is a bit of a maze when getting to the hotel from the car park as the car park lift takes you to the hospital. You then have to walk down the corridor into the hotel (all one building!) and find the lifts the your floor! It has a drinks machine on each floor as well as an ice machine which was great. We used the pool and hot tub one evening, pool was very cold but hot tub was great, also beds if you get the chance to sunbath! We only used the restaurant for breakfast (it’s actually the hospital restaurant) but it has plenty of choice. We didn’t eat at the hotel at all, we went over to Dots Diner which did the best burgers!! I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily return! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hospital Visits only recommended

May 8th, 2019

Can’t believe that a distinguished high tech hospital such as Ochsner would be connected to a hotel with no room outlets for connection or recharging tech equipment. We had to disconnect a lamp and clock for access to an electrical outlet to charge our simple iPhones. So if you visit this hotel, bring your portable charger. Our closet was completely unhinged/ removed door. Also, the walls were quite thin, and we could hear neighbors easily in adjacent rooms. The hotel is convenient and adequate only if you are having a a surgical procedure or visit at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. Appreciated the free covered garage parking too. Couldn’t believe there were only two flimsy pillows on the king bed; so bring your own or ask in advance for more. Very clean accommodations, except for the carpet that needs a good scrubbing. The location is convenient for a general New Orleans visit, but there are better more updated choices nearby. The attached coffee shop to the hotel is friendly, and it is lovely to stop and listen to the pianist or other musicians performing in the atrium lobby of the hospital. Skip the unfriendly cafeteria. I gave three Star points for basic cleanliness and location, but this hotel needs serious refurbishing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
