Good

They can use some training on customer service. The staff was not friendly. I did not feel the Disney experience. I was totally disappointed. I have a high expectation for Disney since they are known for their superior customer service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Careless indifference

Jun 21st, 2019

Such a disappointment, I should have heeded the bad reviews. I thought it couldn’t be that bad, Im a Hilton Diamond member and I have really enjoyed staying with them, and haven’t had a really bad experience. The moment we pulled up and were ignored by the valet, he literally walked right past us, to the dirty entrance way and indifferent front desk. We were not offered an upgrade, or a smile a first and when I asked about one she said we’re really busy, try tomorrow. So up to the room we went, only to be greeted by a strong moldy scent and dirty room, when I called the front desk to speak to the manager, I was put on hold for 10 minutes and I finally just walked down to exchange the room. While in line, I met a guy who was given the keys to a room that was already occupied by someone else, Wow, that would of scared the heck out of me, to have a stranger open your hotel room, in the middle of the night. Anyways, they gave me a new room, but neglected to tell me it was on the other side of the building, so we got to hunt around for a room on the wrong side of the hotel. Oh and this was all happening at 1:00 in the morning after a five hour flight. I’m hoping I can switch hotels tomorrow, I prepaid and I really don’t want to spend the next night here. Pictures are of the second room, it was dirty too. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The best vacation ever

Jun 20th, 2019

First of all I would like to thank the Hilton Palace for having us. We stayed here for 3 weeks. It was the best vacation ever and I have taken away some amazing memories. I even got engaged!! Reading other people’s reviews before we came here I was extremely apprehensive about this hotel and I had some major concerns. First of all the rooms are lovely. We where on the 22nd floor in room 2241. The room is decorated really nicely and had all the amenities we needed. The coffee machine is really easy to use and was cleaned every time we used it. The bed wad really comfy! The sheets where always really clean and the pillows fluffed up. We had clean fresh towels put in the room every day and the cleanliness was up to my standards. (I am one of those hotel clean freaks.) The bathrooms have wear and tear to them. The rooms next to us looked like they where getting a bathroom makeover so the littlest cracks might be fixed later on. However this did not bother me at all, I was able to shower, use the loo and the basin without any problems which was the main thing. We had a balcony with our room which over looked the fireworks at Hollywood studios, Epcot and magic Kingdom. so on the days where your feet were sore from all the walking there was nothing better then chilling on the balcony with some Once upon a time wine or a Budweiser from the Citrus cafe whilst watching the fireworks. We did eat at the parks a lot but for the days when we had had enough we either went downstairs to the Citrus cafe and ordered pizza (which was amazing by the way) or we ordered room service which again was always lovely and very fresh. We ate breakfast a few times in the restaurant Letterpress, the food was nice buffet style however the service was slow at times and we wanted to get on with our day. We ended up mainly having breakfast from the Citrus cafe (can you tell that it was our favourite place?) where we got a Starbucks coffee and a pastry and sat and waited for the Disney buses. Quickly regarding the Disney buses we did not have any issues, they were always regular at the hotel and if we didn’t want to wait at the parks for the bus back we would get a cab which cost approximately $10. The only negatives I have are 1. There is only one pool for such a huge hotel which isn’t big and gets way too crowed. People are allowed to eat in the pool and although the food from Shades looked incredible I didn’t agree that you could eat the food in the pool. The hotel could also do with an adults only pool for some R&R. 2. The balconies need some TLC, a lick of paint, a good floor scrub and some tweaks to the balcony roof as they leak when it rains meaning you can’t sit outside and watch the amazing lightening shows. 3. When checking into the hotel make sure you repeat that you do not have a car ( if you haven’t brought one) we didn’t bring a car and told the front desk this when checking in however we noticed that the hotel and put a certain amount on hold on our card so we asked about it and was told it was payment for parking. After explaining to the front desk we didn’t have a car they released the payment. All in all we had an amazing 3 weeks!! Thank you to the staff at the Citrus cafe! You were always so kind and pleasant and it made our stay more wonderful. Thank you ton the rest of the staff for making us feel at home and for taking care of us. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First stay at the Hilton

Jun 20th, 2019

We had a good stay at the Hilton. The rooms were clean, just wish the beds were a bit softer. I appreciated the closeness to Disney Springs and the free transportation to the Disney World parks. I would stay here again the next time I come. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
