On-site meals and meal supplements are pricey
The key to COMO Parrot Cay is personalization: Located on a private Turks and Caicos island northeast of Providenciales, this boutique resort strives to embody the perfect beach vacation for every taste, with various experiences that include customized excursions and intimate dinners. Head to the COMO Shambhala Retreat to enjoy a private yoga class or a hot river stone massage. For a more active experience, borrow kayaks or snorkeling gear to use at your leisure. Even dining is up to you: Eat in your villa, in one of two restaurants or on the beach. Guests love COMO Parrot Cay's food, which is always fresh, organic (when possible) and Caribbean-inspired, and appreciate that breakfast is covered by the room rate. However, some caution that the on-site lunch and dinner are expensive There are meal plan options if that's something you're interested in: the resort offers both half-board (dinner each night) and full-board (lunch and dinner daily) supplements. After dinner, retire to one of 72 guest rooms, suites, villas or houses, which are all bathed with natural light and adorned with four-poster beds (draped in white voile), minibars and private verandas or sun decks.

Critic Reviews

Condé Nast Traveler

Aside from the wellness factor, this is an utterly beautiful, throw-your-cares-away hotel on a private Caribbean island loved by A-list celebrities.

The sprawling 1,000-acre property is a 30-minute boat ride from Providenciales, offering guests unrivaled privacy in a tranquil atmosphere. The standout feature is COMO Shambhala spa, a world renowned wellness facility with a yoga pavilion, pilates studio, numerous treatment rooms, and an in-house Ayurvedic doctor.

This private paradise, on its own island, pairs tranquility with the best service in Turks and Caicos. Exquisite oceanfront villas dot the beachfront, their Asian feel contrasting with the simple hillside terra-cotta and stucco building that houses the rooms and spacious suites.

Even when the resort is fully booked, you can have stretches of white-sand beach all to yourself. The clear, gentle waters make an ideal spot to sail, stand-up paddleboard, or snorkel — the soft bottom is littered with snowy sand dollars and pink-tinged tellins. Equally fine are the accommodations, set on the hill in colonial-style buildings or in spacious beach houses right on the sand.
