Prime location in stylish Condesa neighborhood
Previous guests say the hotel can get noisy thanks to fourth-floor sushi restaurant
Right in step with the neighborhood for which it's named, CONDESA df offers fashionable digs and a lively night scene that caters to trendy travelers. While it may have a French Neoclassical structure that dates back to the late 1920s, CONDESA's interiors are anything but antiquated. Contemporary touches, like walnut paneling and stylish furnishings, are courtesy of this Mexico City hotel's renowned interior designer India Mahdavi. And while the real star of CONDESA df is its fourth-floor sushi bar (one of the neighborhood's most popular late-night destinations, according to previous guests) and El Patio, a sophisticated restaurant that melds Mexican- and French-influenced dishes, the lodgings offer a few "wow" factors, too. Each room comes appointed with a rainfall shower, minibar, LCD TV and MALIN + GOETZ toiletries. If you're a light sleeper, travelers suggest booking a room on one of the lower floors; though you'll sacrifice the views, you won't have to suffer the late-night noise of rooftop revelers.

It's all about the details at this hip hotel, from rooms equipped with flat-screen televisions, DVDs, and eye-catching custom-designed furniture to a library of coffee-table books about Mexican history and culture.

Condesa df is a member of the groovy Habita group of hotels and the hotel's rooftop terrace is a magnet for local artists and hipsters. ... But the rooms can be small and while they're 'of the moment' (lots of wood, lots of white, sharp angled minimalism, deep soaking tubs and stone tile flooring by designer India Mahdavi) some people find the decor a bit too minimalist.

Travel + Leisure

A trendy, artist-filled neighborhood in Mexico City now has a hip hotel to match. ... The 40 rooms, arrayed around a central courtyard, marry indigenous materials (stone floors, Oaxacan blankets, alpaca-wool carpets) with sculptural furniture, walnut paneling, and sleek couches with contrast piping.

Condé Nast Traveler

Guests who prefer lots of space may find the rooms on the smaller side, but you'll want to spend most of your time hanging in the cozy, well-designed common areas anyway.
