Big, Clean Rooms close to Mt Washington

Feb 20th, 2020

Lancaster is tiny so you don't have lots of choices. Luckily Cabot has big, clean rooms. Interior entry so relatively safe. Heated pool so kids can burn some calories. TV was new. The place is outside of Lancaster. The views are nice. Getting to food establishments isn't too hard. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The view is everything.

We decided to take a spontaneous weekend trip in the middle of October to visit the mountains. Booked 1 hour before arrival, so the price was pretty high for one night. It was my boyfriend, our son and I, so we ended up with a double queen bed. The view was beautiful and peaceful and we enjoyed it very much. If we return to this area definitely will plan a head for a longer stay to enjoy the accommodates. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good For One Night

Oct 4th, 2019

I stayed here, with my husband, on our drive through New England. This place was certainly an improvement from the place we stayed prior. I wouldn’t say it was great, but it wasn’t awful either. Rooms could definitely use a more thorough cleaning. The carpet in our room was definitely due for a cleaning. It was fairly quiet and didn’t seem extremely busy. We had a room in the main building. It was good for what we needed it for. The lobby television was tuned to a murder show. That was unsettling, especially when checking into a motel in the dark. If you only need a bed for passing through, I would say this place could work for you. I don’t know if I’d be as positive, if the place had been any busier. The walls are pretty thin. If you are bothered by noise, maybe pass on this one. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Okay, but not likely to return

On the positive side, the inn was close to Santa's Village and convenient. There was a nice playground for kids. The continental breakfast was pretty good and kids had a good variety to choose from. Although our room was clean on surface, the hotel was pretty run down and I never should have looked between the bed and the night stand. Gross! The piece that sealed the deal was that the person at the desk when we checked in was rude and very overwhelmed. Clearly they were short staffed and don't know how to schedule people based on the occupancy. There was a restaurant/bar, but it was closed. Sad to say we won't book here again.
