Nice, but don’t order a drink from the bar

Aug 5th, 2019

A friend and I stayed at the Cadet for 3 nights for a long getaway weekend. Check-in was a breeze, the staff was accommodating and the room was clean. We arrived early in the morning and ate breakfast at the little outside restaurant-split an omelette and had a couple mimosas. The food was decent. As we finished, we were notified that our room was ready and we were able to get in early! We had a king room on the first floor with a window that overlooked the hot tub area(pictures will show). The bed was comfy, but the pillows were tiny and not at all fluffy-like little bricks! Other than that, the only cons to the room were: tiny bathroom with no space to set toiletries and no phone charger outlets. My biggest complaint was with the bar- we paid $37 for two tiny pours of red wine! I understand Miami is pricy on drinks, but this was a $12 bottle of wine and it was a ridiculously small amount of wine in a tiny wine glass. You do pay a small resort fee for the use of towels and beach chairs. The location is perfect- close to the beach, restaurants and shopping (Lincoln Mall was awesome). I love Miami, but next time I’ll buy bottles of wine and keep them in my room!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Room needs refurbishment

Jul 22nd, 2019

Thankfully we only needed somewhere to stay for the night as we flew into Miami then travelled to the Keys. We were very disappointed with the 'family' room, which housed two double beds. There was barely any room to move around. It appeared that the bathroom had recently been updated, which was clean and functional, however the room itself was to a very poor standard. The bedding was 'frugal' to say the least, and the air con was noisy and impossible to switch off so we froze all night. We had a small walk-in cupboard for storage, which smelt musty and old, we barely had room to store three cases and a travel bag and nowhere to store clothes. Some of the furniture in the room was broken and needed replacing. A very quirky and delightful looking hotel on the website, however it now needs a bit of loving care to meet the standards of a reasonably comfortable stay away. Such a shame. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My new favorite hotel in South Beach

Jul 3rd, 2019

This is my new favorite place to stay in South Beach. The staff is fantastic! They warmly welcomed me upon arrival and were always available throughout my stay. They were extremely helpful and always sincere. The hotel itself is small - it was not packed with party people, so it was a calm space to return to after sweating it out at the beach. It also smells great. My room was just right. I had a very clean and comfortable room, bed and bathroom. The room had the amenities I most require: a safe and a mini fridge.I didn't want to leave! The location is excellent. At first, I was unsure if I wanted to stay north of Lincoln Road, but now that I have - the answers should always be YES unless you want to party all day and night at the Clevelander. The location was excellent. From the hotel, you can walk to the beach and Lincoln Road, but also down Collins and Washington to the center of the action. But up here, you can also walk north to the Bass Museum of art. I found this location to be better than the others I have stayed at further south. There is a jacuzzi and fine dining restaurant on the premises, but I did not try them. The hotel provides a beach bag and towels for you to use at the beach. You also get to use beach chairs for free - this is included in your unavoidable (in Miami Beach) "resort fee.". Be warned, though - the use of a beach umbrella will cost you $20. The Cadet Hotel was a superb find and I will certainly be back. Highly recommended for adults. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stay for one week at this location for a business trip and my experience was great. The team of employees is very good and friendly. The food was great and the location is very good and safe. Near restaurants, stores, cafes, convention center, beach, etc... Definitely I recommend this place and will be back again. Nice job guys! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Oasis of Calm

Jun 28th, 2019

From the first moment we arrived the service was excellent! The hotel itself was impeccable, the decor was amazing and the pool area (even though it was small) was such a pretty, zen and calming area. Location was great, just a couple of blocks from the beach and Lincoln Road. The staff were polite and helpful and the room was clean and cozy. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
