Excellent location in the Theater District

Sep 23rd, 2020

This hotel is a beautiful, modernized hotel, next door to the Nederlander Theater and close to other Theaters. It is conveniently located by The Red Line subway, City Hall and the Museum District. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The rates were quite reasonable, especially for a nice hotel in the Loop area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect Location

Walking distance to the riverfront and to other attractions. Had a great stay here and will come back. Regarding parking, it is BEHIND the hotel. Park first, at check -in they will text you a QR code so you can come and go. We didn't have any issues. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

COVID-19 DURING STAY

Sep 2nd, 2020

All of the amenities were closed due to the pandemic, but the I enjoyed the stay for what I needed. The entrance is different, as the Lobby of the hotel is on the ninth floor. It has a nice size sitting area off the restaurant (closed). Our room was on the nineteenth floor. There is an auditorium on the fourteenth floor that has shows (closed). Yes, the hotel is located in the theater district for those who have tickets. The hotel is close by restaurants such as Panda Express, Popeyes, Wildberry, Taco Bell, and Mediterranean restaurants. The hotel is located six blocks from Millennial Park. Cambri has modern features such as a blue tooth bathroom mirror. I used my iTunes to play through the mirror as I prepared to go out at night (very cool feature). I couldn't give a perfect rating because many of the amenities were closed, but I would definitely stay here again. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They explained the limitations due to the pandemic which I understood. I would redesign the room to include more drawer space, but I made it work. The desk space was very nice. The K-cup coffee maker was nice. I bought my own K-cups for morning coffee and tea. I expected to pay more and was pleasantly surprised for the weekly/weekend stay. Parking is located around the block ( I suggest ride/share to places beyond your walking capabilities). You must use your room key on the elevator to access floors other than the lobby and first floor (nice security feature). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing hotel!!! Super clean!!

Sep 1st, 2020

One of the best if not best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Very clean and they make sure before you arrive that the room is properly sanitized. Nothing but amazing memories for me and my fiancé. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It's fine.

This hotel is adequate. I have a room during the COVID-era, so please keep that in mind about my review. The hotel is in a good location (except not the safest to walk alone at night alone) and isn't expensive. The A/C was responsive. The check-in woman was friendly. It's relatively quiet (I'm on a high floor). That said, there are a number of areas in which I have been disappointed: (1) the floor is dirty. I walked around in my hotel room a brand new pair of socks right after arriving. The socks quickly became dirty. The floor is dirty, as is the floor of the closet. Also, in just one day I've already seen a flying insect and a spider. Not what I expected since there is no open window. (2) The "seal" on the hotel room door to indicate the room has been sanitized isn't a seal, as suggested. Instead, it's a removable sticker that doesn't break when you open the door. That doesn't assure me the room is clean. (3) The sheet covering the foot of the bed was dirty upon arrival. (4) As part of their COVID protections (which I did not explained on their website before coming), they are not cleaning the rooms while you stay; that's not a problem in and of itself, as I understand why and many hotels are doing the same, but they also ensure they will provide a trash bag in each room so you can have your trash disposed of. They don't, unless you call for it. Not a big deal, but not highly quality service. (5) I requested more coffee for the room and TP upon arrival (there was only one roll of TP, unsealed, in the bathroom, and only 1 pod of caffeinated coffee). I got these items rather quickly, along with the trash bag. But I got a single pod of coffee and a another single roll of toilet paper. This time the TP was wrapped but not sealed. (6) The room is small. (7) The bed is lumpy and uncomfortable. I wake up sore. (8) In the bathroom, there is a single hook outside the shower, so all of our towels are lumped together there, making it harder for them to dry. Placing another hook or two would take about 15 minutes, in my experience. No reason there is a single hook on a relatively wide wall. Overall, I wouldn't choose to stay here again. Disappointed. Wish it had been better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
