Sad to be leaving!

Aug 14th, 2019

This is our second visit to Cambridge Beaches. We have stayed in many places on Bermuda over the years from the big hotels to 5 star fancy hotels and a private club. Cambridge Beaches is our favorite. It’s just the right vibe for us. It’s low key but genteel. We love all the activities, love the different beaches, the swimming is fabulous so is the snorkeling. We play tennis everyday, and like to rent boats & kayaks. We have heard there is a rails to trails bike path the length of the island which we will try next time. The food is plentiful to say the least! All very good. We loved the BBQ night, the music & the locals really add to the flavor of the evening. Sushi night was also a treat. Otherwise dinners on the beach are wonderful. The staff really make the place warm & inviting, from Quincy the manager to Zach who helped us with our bags & the ladies who took care of our room all were friendly & helpful. That warmth & helpfulness is a big part of the positive vibe. Our room, cove north was very nice. Lovely view spacious room. Before we left we made sure to make next year’s reservation, a shout out to Lisa who patiently helped us with that. We are already looking forward to our next visit. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

5* Property 1* service and food

Aug 12th, 2019

The property is amazing, a selection of little beaches make this a truly magical setting. The beaches are quiet, so are very relaxing. The food and service was terrible, the servers are robotic and lack personality and basic training. They try to make you keep your knife and fork after each course at breakfast, Who wants an eggy knife to cut their melon? I one day pointed out the bagels had flies all over them but nothing was done. The hotel provide a free shuttle service to the dockyard but the shuttle driver leaves early or just ignores you all together at the dockyard, the manager is rude and everything is a constant battle. The prices charged don’t reflect the service and quality received. What a shame it could be such a gem! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fantastic stay

Aug 8th, 2019

We have just returned from our vacation and can’t say enough about our stay at the Cambridge Beaches resort. Everything was top notch, including quality of food and excellent service from our very attentive staff. Props to Karen for her very warm welcome along with the many helpful wait staff, front desk workers, and drivers. Don’t miss the fabulous omelettes prepared at breakfast. The BBQ night was a blast, providing us with the opportunity to try so many local specialties and to enjoy the company of fellow guests and locals. We rarely left the resort during our stay as the long bay beach and pool were beautiful venues. Our only minor suggestion would be to prepare stronger drinks...Thanks for everything! Resort experience, scuba diving, the island and theft

Aug 7th, 2019

Half of the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The other half are miserable and rude. I have had a pair of Levi's 505 cut blue denim jeans stolen form my resort room whilst it was being cleaned. My partner has been humiliated and stereotypes by some of the staff. The shuttle bus provided by the resort is always early and will leave early - leaving guests of up to 80 years old stranded and without transportation. All in all not worth the stay because it has the feel of luxury, however the services provided are of 3 star quality. The only reason this resort has 4 stars is because of the location. The prices are not fair. HOWEVER - please do come to Bermuda for the scuba diving - The dive centre by summerset bridge is fantastic. Funny and friendly. The diving is very easy because it is so shallow and the wrecks are plentiful, interesting and informative. The dockyards is the last place to recommend. Go the museum of Bermuda for $15 per adult to spend an afternoon learning. Be careful of shopping as it is very expensive in places because of the Cruise ships. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Another wonderful stay!

Aug 6th, 2019

We recently had our 5th stay at Cambridge mid July and it once again was wonderful! Cambridge is located at the western tip of the island and is surrounded by water! The views at every area of the resort are outstanding! The beaches are great with great snorkeling (lots of fish and turtles) and the food is fantastic! We loved the Monday BBQ buffet (it does get crowded since it's very popular with the locals) and loved the Tuesday Sushi night! Had the best sushi!! The staff is wonderful! It's a great resort and the reason we keep coming back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
