Unfortunately one of those typical "older" airport hotels

Jul 15th, 2019

Yes, you pay more for the Courtyard and the Hilton, which are inside the terminal but the difference is more than what the price is telling you. The only other plus point is that this hotel is still connected to the airport and you don't have to take a shuttle, taxi or try to walk to your hotel, but this is pretty much it. The lobby is actually the best looking place I have seen from this hotel, the rest is "old". The elevators have a strange character and the rooms are functional but boring and worn out. I don't find it particular noise and I always sleep well, which is the most important part, when you consider staying at a airport hotel, but again, comparing it to the other two hotels, it doesn't invite me to do anything else than going to bed, while I am there. The rooms are clean, the sleep quality is good, the c/i / c/o is a hit or miss, depending on who you get and it is specialized in mass production, in and out, that's it, both of the others have still the personal touches, which has nothing to do with the room rate, at least it shouldn't be. BUT it is an alternative TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice airport hotek

Camino Real is directly attached to the airport. There is a connection between exit 2 and 3 which leads directly into the hotel via a footbridge on second floor ( idiot paid 200 pesos for a taxi from exit 10..). The hotel itself is quite ok, exactly what you need after a long haul flight into CDM. After picking up the luggage you are easily in the room within 15 minutes. Rooms are spacious with everything necessary. Breakfast goes extra for around USD20.-, expensive but it‘s worth the money. Disadvantage is the location far away from downtown. Anyway, there is also a metro connection. Taxi to Zocola takes around 45‘ depending on traffic. I will definitely stay here again when coming to CDM next time.. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Noisy hotel

Jun 25th, 2019

This hotel is conveniently located at the airport and has four nice restaurants. It could use some renovations, especially the red carpet on the hallways. Despite the front desk staff not being very welcoming, most interactions with staff were very pleasant. At first I was placed at a room that had a ramp in front of the door so I could not roll in my suitcase. Since I had a small carry on luggage I didn't mind, but at night the noise every time someone went by the metal plate became unbearable and I requested to go to another room, which was done very quickly. Unfortunately they had live music playing at the lobby until past midnight and even though I was on the 8th floor I could hear everything. I didn't not sleep that entire night. I was told they have music almost every night. This is not what I expect while on a business trip and was very annoyed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not very happy

Jun 24th, 2019

My wife and me we stayed one night in this hotel at the airport. Check in very cold and not very friendly. Our given room was literally falling apart so the sink and WC. Towel bar falling out. Safe deposit box did not work. Mold all over the room, old fabrics, stain on walls. Restaurant a total catastrophy, food was cold so the french fries but we found out it was not because of the chef.. they did had only two waiters for the entire restaurant, basically disgusting long service. Also they thought we were bumped by an airline so the service captain told me we had a restricted meal so "do not order the expensive stuff". We were shocked as firstly we were not bumped by any airline and secondly we were regular hotel guests and we wanted to eat well and paying for it. This was at the cafeteria. Next day check out was another headache. On top of it, stepping out of the hotel there where two robbers who attacked the previous hotel guest who did left the hotel just before us. All in all not a nice experience at all. Camino Real Airport is getting worst every-time. Such a shame as it used to be a nice well managed property. We will better stay at the Hilton next time. Good one

The main reason why you will stay in this hotel is because of it's location, it is in front of the airport connected by a bridge so you can go there walking without problems at any time you want. The room is big, clean and have all you will need. Now, if you are going to stay many days in the city I would recommend other hotels because this is a good option only if you need it for a night or couple ones. The hotel is expensive and it doesn't have a 5 star quality so think if you really need ti be close to the airport because is what you really pay for. If your flight arrives early in the morning be ready to wait until 3pm unless you pay an upgrade because they will say you that there's no room available yet. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
