cabins are basic but adequate

Basic cabins with no electricity, no linens, and just a hard bunk bed. It may serve the purpose, depending on your needs. The shared bathroom cleanliness was poor, but the bathroom inside the lodge was clean. The food choices in the hotel restaurant are limited and overpriced. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This was a great camping area on the north side of the Grand Tetons. They accommodate RVs, tents and also have cabins. You could visit Yellowstone from this location. Clean shower/restrooms. Hiking this area is easy and beautiful. Gas station and store near by as is Sheffields To Go. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We really enjoyed the campground. The sites are larger than typical (400 series is really good) and convenient to both Yellowstone and the Tetons. Easy walk to the river for just relaxing or plenty of trails for wandering aimlessly. There is ZERO CELL SERVICE - however, across the street at the store, there is a WiFi connection. Albeit slow and only good for the occasional email check. Overall it was a relaxing week long stay. We stayed in a Class C motor home with a car for touring around. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Two night stay while visiting Grand Teton National Park.

We had a great stay there while we toured Grand Teton National Park. The staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed to stay there. Our cabin looked out on the Snake river. The room was quiet and cozy. You can sit outside in rocking chairs on the porch and smell the pine trees. We had a mule deer doe and fawn walk right by the porch at dusk and red squirrel come right up to us looking for food. Would certainly recommend planning a trip to the area to stay there. Maybe Jackson would’ve suited us better.

We booked the Headwaters only a month out, so not a lot of choices. I haven’t been to the Grand Tetons as an adult, so unfamiliar with locations of hotels vs. park sites. The Headwaters is actually outside the Grand Teton park and closer to the Yellowstone south border. 1:15 drive to Jackson and at least 30 minutes to Jenny Lake and most of the sites we wanted to see. In September, it’s dark by 8pm, so without TV, Internet, and cell phone service, you might as well drive to Jackson for dinner, which we did one night, and had to personally read the second night. In hindsight, I would have paid the same costs in Jackson, but at least had some amenities available. The facilities are like a 2 star hotel, but with a view. The porch had 2 rocking chairs and a very comfortable mattress. There’s only a small round table for 2 inside so when we ordered food from the restaurant, (takeout only) we had to eat inside our room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
