Not everyone has $1,000+ a night to stay in the Carmel Valley resorts. And some of the budget hotels seemed a little worn down. But the Lodge is the real deal. Affordable and features of the best places. Better yet the staff is tip top and so accommodating during these difficult travel times. The care put into everything from rooms to garden is thoughtful and well done thanks to the new owners. And your family dog is welcome! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

nice spot, recommend!

we just stayed a single night, and are glad that we did. Olga at the front desk was very kind and the grounds are nice. we hope to return again. The pool was warm enough for an evening swim in the fall, and the fire pit was a welcome spot to hang out. Based on their recommendation, we had dinner at the corkscrew down the street which was also excellent. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent as always. Been going multiple times every year for 25 years. New owners even better than the former.

Very friendly owners and staff. Excellent presentation and cover protocol. Improved landscaping and decor. These owners are making needed improvements after long term former owner. Very impressed. This does not need me to write more letters just to syisfy your asinine minimum as it is already a comprehensive thumbs up. Stop being a twit and wasting some of my time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Safe refuge

Oct 1st, 2020

We landed here after our home was destroyed by a wildfire. With us being very traumatized people, the staff here was gentle and kind to us and did everything and more to make us feel safe and welcome. The rooms were spotless and the staff takes covid protocols very seriously. It was a good place to land while we looked for more permanent housing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice place, quiet, a bit rustic. Perfect for what we needed.

We are a family of 5, 4 adults and 1 small child escaping the wildfires and smoke going on around us at home. We stayed 8 nights in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin. We had 2 king beds and 1 queen that were comfortable. It had a fully stocked kitchen, TV with cable and internet ( which was spotty but we were able to go to the office to have a better connection for business). The cabin had an electric fireplace, nice to take the morning chill off. The cabin itself was rustic, but nicely appointed. The staff was VERY accommodating, especially during the Covid pandemic. The grounds are very well maintained, the pool was warm and inviting and we had dinner out there several evenings. There are outdoor fire pits too. Everything is really close by, including a park for the little guy to play at everyday, dogs are welcome too. Grocery and markets are just down the road and restaurant's are easily within walking distance and there are many wine tasting rooms scattered throughout the Village of Carmel. There is NO A/C but they told us that upfront, and plenty of fans were in the room for use if needed. We would certainly return again. A BIG thanks to Teresa who spent a lot of time on the phone with me, answering all my questions and for being so accommodating TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
