beautiful modern place

Feb 23rd, 2020

We stayed there at thanksgiving to visit family in charlotte. the hotel is beautiful, extremely comfortable to sit around in the lobby and maybe have drinks at the bar (the bartender is very skilled). the coffee place on the first floor is worth a visit, it's not directly associated with the hotel (we think). The rooms are very comfortable, clean and inviting. One thing, at this writing, the street in front of the place is torn up, which doesn't affect much, but something to think about. In summary, we highly recommend it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We wanted to return.

Feb 20th, 2020

Beautiful hotel convenient to everything downtown Charlotte. The staff is friendly and attentive to every need. We stayed here with friends in October for football, and enjoyed the hotel and Eddie V's (fine dining just around the corner) so much that we returned to spend Valentine's weekend. Great Customer Service

Feb 11th, 2020

We received great customer service. Top notch service from the valet to the reception area and everyone in-between. The restaurant was very good, although somewhat pricey compared to other resturants of the same quality in Charlotte. The room was clean and well appointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fantastic Stylish Stay for Weekend

Jan 29th, 2020

Perfect location right in the middle of the city with key attractions within 5 minute walk. The check-in process is seamless and the lobby is beautiful and makes you want to spend time there. Room is also spacious and stylish. All necessary technologies are there (including Alexa speaker) and the bathroom is perfect as well. there is a brand new spacious gym that opens early for a perfect workout. Highly recommend the restaurant; we stayed during the restaurant week so the food was delicious and reasonably priced. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

1st Visit - just ok

Jan 26th, 2020

I stayed here for 2 nights in Jan on business. The lobby and M lounge are decent. ITs the new Marriott style but it feels like this is getting worn down already. Breakfast at the lounge was good with a good selection of fruits and eggs, bacon, etc. Lots of seating too. The room i felt was very dark and sparse, not really up to snuff with other Marriott's i have been in recently. Im Ambassador level Marriott and i thought they might upgrade me to a better room, but i think alot of the hotels in the city this week were busy. I just cant give it a better rating due to the feel of the room. there are no real drawers for your clothes, just a small closet and cubbys right next to the door. The bathroom while clean was not well laid out. I did go to the gym and its good - lots of cardio equipment but only a few free weights. Beware the street construction at the entrance to the hotel. Its not really an issue but there are fences up that block your access to the sidewalks in certain places. I will be back again next month and will update my review based on the next experience. However i think there are other better Marriott options in Charlotte. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
