Chateau Chamonix is one of the best units on the mountain.

We have stayed at several condominiums in Steamboat and this particular condo beats them all. It is a true Ski-in/Ski out condo with all the amenities. I have 4 boys and not having to carry skis from the lockers to the slops is a HUGE bonus. The skis/snowboards are stored on rolling racks that the staff moves in and out of the downstairs room for you every day. Ski and snowboard boots are stored downstairs as well on boot dryers overnight. Coffee, hot chocolate and donuts are served every morning downstairs before you head out to the slopes. The staff is absolutely wonderful and Al is exceptionally helpful. I will be returning here from now on! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Slope side convenience, great units, nice amenities!

The units are large and well appointed. This is the second time (two diff units) we've stayed here. First unit was truely slope side, which was great but the unit was dated. The location over shadowed any short comings with the unit condition. The second visit was with a unit in building 3 so we had to walk across the parking lot and up a set of steps to get slope side, but they have a boot room ( with boot dryers!) and a place to store your ski's so you aren't clopping around in your boots lugging your equipment every day! The unit in building 3 was excellent! Very clean, nicely appointed kitchen, nice furnishings, good beds. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The VIP shuttle service is the bomb! We never waited more than 4 min no matter where we went! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I cannot say enough about how enjoyable our stay was here. We arrived around 1pm and check-in was not until 4pm. The staff was so friendly. They stored our bags while we went out to lunch and grocery shopping. They called us around 2:30 to let us know our room was ready. Every day they were pleasant and helpful whenever we needed anything. Pros: Staff - all were very friendly and helpful. They seemed to genuinely care about the guests. The location cannot be beat. Ski in/out. The boot room - boots aren't allowed in rooms. They store them on heated racks in a room close to where the skis are stored. You just put the boots on, step outside, grab your skis and go. We loved this feature. Not only does it make the entire process simple, it reduces noise in the rooms. You don't hear people walking around in their rooms or on the stairway with their boots on. The rooms are very nice. Our view was beautiful, beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, and bathrooms were modern and clean. Housekeeping comes every other day to change towels and make beds. Quiet - we rarely heard any noise. Coffee/ hot chocolate/ donuts. they have them in the lobby as well as the gathering room which is right by the ski storage. It was nice to get a donut before going off to ski. And having some hot chocolate when the day was over. Free shuttle - our longest wait for a shuttle was 9 minutes. Usually, when we would call they would give an arrival estimate of 3-5 minutes. Cons: None. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Love everything about this place!

Great service(WE LOVE AL!), family friendly, very convenient (right on slope, ski holders, heated boot room, fireplace, sauna, pool, hot tub, vip transport, and doughnuts and coffee every morning). It is a great spot and in the center of everything with a very home-y environment. Perfect for a family ski trip! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great place with outstanding customer service

My family (20+) people stayed here in several units over New Years. The location and the units were great. I loved the steam shower in the master suite of our unit.(Note: I think this may only be available in the newer units.) I also enjoyed being able to adjust the fireplace with the thermostat. It’s the simple things-right? The place was comfortable, beautiful and was overall great. They even had humidifiers in every room in our unit, which was very helpful for those of us who are accustomed to much more humidity. All that said...the customer service was even better! Al who was the front desk person when we checked in was always so helpful and kind. He, however, was clearly a jack of all trades. We had a terrible drip in our bathtub. It was more like a steady stream of hot water going down the drain. So, I called down that evening when I noticed it, because it was probably gallons of water per minute. Being all the maintenance people had already left for the day, he came up and fixed the leak. Every time we saw him he engaged us in conversation and wanted to know how our stay was going. He was never too busy for anyone, no matter how busy he was. I have worked for multiple four and five star hotels and I have rarely seen that level of service. I was impressed. A big thanks to Al for making our stay awesome. Just know if you stay here, you will be taken care of. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
