We stayed in a different room in September. It was a smaller room with no view but it was in good shape. And we had no issues in this room or the stay This time things didn’t go well and we had to wait 1 hour (5pm) past check out to get in our room. They gave us an upgrade to a suite and the room had nice layout but the couch was dirty and worn out in the living room, the rug in the living room smelled and our bed was a brick of memory foam that was so uncomfortable. They gave us a $100 credit for not having our room ready ( which was very nice). We had room service and Curbside takeout at the hotel. They gave us the wrong dinner order two things were very disorganized and you you couldn’t really get through for room service or curbside Donnie you have to keep calling back. All in all it was very disappointing stay and it was a Birthday stay. They had promised to put a cupcake in the room when we .arrived for the birthday person but alas there was no cupcake. Someone called to check on you see how we were doing I mentioned we didn’t have a cupcake so they did eventually send it over but they really need to do a total overhaul the room we were in which was number 214. A great overall stay but with room for improvement

Visited CBI for Valentine's/President's Day weekend. We stayed at a cottage. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything from the next room over. Unfortunately, we had a screaming baby in the next room during our stay and there's not much you can do given that the Inn was at full capacity. The resort has three restaurants and during our stay only one took reservations, the other two were first come, first serve. We called a week ahead to make reservations at Stars for dinner both nights but were told they were "sold out." We had to call the manager to try to get us reservations and after two days we did receive a phone call back and had reservations completed. The food and service were exceptional at Stars. We also had trouble making reservations at the Spa, again encountering the "sold out" problem. We regret that only one in our party was able to attend the Spa as there was nothing available all weekend for the two of us. Ordering from room service was challenging. We frequently encountered a voicemail message telling us to leave our name and room number and promising to call us back. One time we did not receive a call back and we had to call the front desk to get a live person to take our order. We ordered room service for breakfast both mornings. The average time to be served was one hour. By the time we ate, the food was lukewarm. We also ordered room service for lunch and enjoyed a quicker turn around time to be served and the food was hot and tasty. As the title of my review states, we did enjoy our stay. The CBI and it's 25 acres are lovely in the wintertime. However, there is room for improvement as staff appeared overwhelmed with the Inn filled with guests over the busy weekend. Couldn’t of asked for a better get away. It was the perfect gift idea. The two of us are front line workers and haven’t gotten away in some time. We booked couples massages which were world class. The food was with out a doubt Michelin star quality. So good in fact, we ate both our dinners there back to back nights. With something different and over the top each evening. The amenities and decor were incredibly tasteful. It is my hope that I can continue this tradition annually. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

As a Cape Cod native (born-and-raised), I am immensely loyal to the area and therefore was hesitant to write this review. However, staying at Chatham Bars Inn in August 2020 was by far the worst experience I have had at a hotel in my life. We booked a Saturday-Monday stay for our family of five in a spa suite and spent most of the first 24 hours (aside from sleeping) at the pool and beach. Upon returning for my daughter's post-lunch nap on Sunday, while my other family members golfed, we encountered a huge, live cockroach on the living room rug. In a rush, I put my daughter down to sleep and returned to the living room. The large bug was gone and as I sat quietly on the couch another smaller one crawled beneath me on the rug. I covered it with a resort mug and immediately began packing our belongings. One bug can be a fluke, two mean infestation and can come home with you! I called the front desk and they seemed like they wanted to be helpful, but didn't sound surprised. When my daughter awoke, we went to the front desk to check out and they said "we will comp your entire stay (two nights) obviously, but we have to wait until the account reconciles." We left quickly to head home a night early. Months later, and after dozens of calls to the accountant, we still await our full refund. They refunded 50% of one night and nothing else; they no longer respond to calls or emails. As I mentioned, I am an avid supporter of the Cape and it's economy. I hate to even bring any negative attention to a local property but CBI is wrong here. CBI has a bug problem that is needs to deal with ASAP. I would obviously never return there sadly and hope they get serious about cleanliness in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely perfect! The inn is stunning, the staff gracious, food outstanding. My family have been visiting the inn since I can remember and each and every visit just proves that this is not only the most beautifully situated inn but run by the utmost welcoming and kind people. The gift shop is a must see too with unique and classy items as well as adorable children items. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
