Excellent stay

Nov 5th, 2019

We were very warmly welcomed. We were early for check-in and our room was not ready but we were still checked in and shown around the end, we went out and had lunch for a few hours and came back in our room is ready. The Inn is really nice and very nicely decorated. Our room was on the first floor or basement level and had a fireplace and was really quaint and cozy. The staff was absolutely wonderful and the room was very clean and nicely decorated. We did not experience the breakfast however we left behind two items in our room and when I called they already had them put aside and they shipped them to us promptly, which we appreciate it very much. This Inn is fairly close to some things downtown food wise and attractions that you can walk to. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again if we’re back in the area. Great except for one issue

Nov 4th, 2019

We were here for water/fire and the location, room, people were all fine. Diane and Monique were professional and welcoming. The only issue is that breakfast could have been better- the quesadillas were not big, well prepared, or even very hot, and the scrambled eggs weak as well. Given the price , popularity , and presentation of the inn, the poor food level was striking. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I would stay again!

Nov 3rd, 2019

We arrived in a thunderstorm on a Saturday evening, and received a very warm welcome. The smell of fresh, home-made baking brought a tear to my eye! Our spacious room (number 3) was at basement level and came with a kitchen and comfortable bed. The wardrobe was small, but adequate for our 3 day stay. The room was very clean and temperature fine, with air-conditioning adequate for September. Parking was very good and we did not have to use the overflow at all. The hotel is close to the Interstate, with road noise, but it was not intrusive and only slightly more than expected in a city. Certainly quieter than Manhattan and other large conurbations, as there were no tooting horns or sirens and after a while it almost sounded like waves on a beach. The breakfast was very good, and although there was only one choice of hot dish it was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. The building itself was charming, and so much nicer than the usual soulless chain hotel. I have read some of the other reviews which referred to poor quality sheets. In my experience I disagree entirely, as they were 'high end' in comparison to many other hotels that I have stayed at. It is a very short walk to the Capitol (which is visible from the car park) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A great place to stay

Nov 2nd, 2019

I am a repeat guest of The Christopher Dodge House.I attend a convention in Providence every year and this is my favorite place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rate was lower than hotels near the convention. The rooms are clean and spacious.A very home-like atmosphere with on-site parking and an overflow lot very nearby. It's why I will continue to stay there and why you should make The Christopher Dodge House your place to stay when you are in Providence. Great Stay

Oct 27th, 2019

This was one of our favorite B&Bs on a Northeast road trip that we took. The property was nice and clean, there was parking onsite (including two garage stalls), and the breakfast was good as well. I also appreciated that there was a mini fridge and TV in the room, which are not common in B&Bs that I've been to. While breakfast was good, it would be nice if they offered more than one dish per day (one egg and one pancake/french toast type thing). We didn't really want french toast the morning we were there and they did go ahead and make us eggs, which was nice. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
