I hate to write a negative review because the staff was absolutely amazing. They care about your comfort and the quality of your stay. However, the room speaks for itself. We booked a weekend away at this hotel and ended up leaving after the first night. The main reason I booked at this hotel, rm 327, was for the whirlpool bathtub. The water was lukewarm at best and only got colder when I put the jets on. Then the walls and windows were so thin, I felt like we were sitting on Vine street, with an abandoned building for our view. Not to mention, hearing every single door closing and hallway conversation. Everything else could be wavied off, but the mattress felt like I was sleeping on the marble floor. So I would wake up from a sore back and then unable to get back to sleep from the street noise. The good points are they employ a great staff and the room was clean, but horribly decorated. Seriously, ,who decorates with a huge picture of differently painted pigs? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Cincinnatian Hotel used to be the best, now it's not even close

The Cincinnatian Hotel used to be the hotel to beat in Cincinnati. The amenities and the service were top notch - the service particularly, was fantastic. That was then - I don't know when the Cincinnatian was transferred from private ownership to the Hilton, but that must be the time when service and quality when from an A+ to a C- (and I think I'm being generous). Here are some of the highlights of our stay: -Lack of mask enforcement - guests were walking around the lobby without masks on -No one would answer the phone at guest services when we called the first night. It might have been busy, but we tried three times that night and never reached anyone -Lack of restaurant/bar service - neither upon registering the room for the night, nor upon check-in, were we informed there was no dining/bar/room-service available -No working ice machine - the ice machine on the floor wasn't working, and instead it was being used as a storage facility for old pizza boxes -AC/Heating system sounds - all night the AC or heating system made loud clicking/banging noises that made it incredibly difficult to sleep -Cold shower - we could not get the shower temperature to anywhere near a comfortable temperature -Last but not least, and this was really the final straw for us, was when we were going to check out, we left our room, entered the elevator, and then were yelled at by a hotel employee with a bell-cart to hold the elevator door for him. He wasn't wearing a mask, and ran on to the elevator. We just decided to get off (because it's a small elevator and he wasn't wearing a mask) - and he told us to get back on. We told him we would take the next one. Overall, the Cincinnatian has fallen dramatically from its heyday. We stayed at the 21C Museum Hotel a few weeks ago, and would recommend a stay there instead. It's very sad because I loved bragging about the Cincinnatian, and it is no longer worthy of more than a negative review on travel sites. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not in her former glory.

Disappointed for the decline in the cleanliness and upkeep. We have been staying here once or twice a year for the last decade and sad to say we will not be back. Due to obvious financial dificulties the stay is sub-par for the price point we are paying. Holes in the comforter, old hair in the bathroom corners and even the TV did not work properly to watch anything. Staff are nice. 2020 has been rough worldwide and hope Hilton Corp will revitalize this gem to it’s former glory in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Bday weekend in Cincy
Nov 19th, 2020
Love this hotel, great location, staff was great, and would stay again! I am a big fan of the Hilton Curio Collection and some of the older hotels that have been remodeled. The outside of the hotel almost goes unnoticed at first, but once you realize the hotel exterior you appreciate it, even more so up close. The inside of the hotel was beautiful and modern with a nice historic staircase. The staff during the stay were amazing. Arrival Friday, departure on Sunday. Check in was easy. I loved the Hilton CleanStay. The sealed room even smelled fresh and clean with a hint of Lysol. It was not overpowering but was kind of reassuring during these crazy times. It added a bit of comfort upon entering the room. We stayed in one of the King Premium rooms which was a Hilton Honors upgrade from the standard King that we booked. We had both physical room keys and the digital key. The digital key through the app never worked for the room but did for the fitness center. I had it resent once, but wasn’t too concerned to try again when it didn’t work again. We had the cards. The rate was really good for downtown weekend stay. I did redeem some of my Hilton Honor Points to subsidize the bill but hadn’t traveled since February so was ready to use some. The Room was on the fifth floor just off from the elevator. I usually choose a higher floor, and usually away from the elevator. The hallway in the room was long and it didn’t bother us at all. No real view as the building across the street blocked it, but it’s downtown and we didn’t really notice. You could look down right on 6th street. The only things I would have changed was the room location and the jets in the tub did work. Neither one of those two items would stop me from staying here again. We were offered to be relocated to a new room, but we declined. The room was beautiful, we were settled in, and still took a bath in the tub (just no jets). The bed was comfortable and we both got a couple good night’s sleep. The highlight was the shower. ABSOLTELY make sure your room has the shower with the side jets and overhead rain facet. Highly recommend. *Valet – perfect experience. Speedy service, and the Valets were nice. $40.00 was high for me given a non busy downtown Cincy with available parking garages nearby. Maybe appropriate price point for a more metro or congested area but it was nice not to worry about it and the valets were top notch. *Front Desk – Went above and beyond. All the staff was courteous, and friendly. I looked forward to saying hi as I went for Coffee or upon coming and going during our stay. *Maintenance- Looked at the tub, brought up some new remote batteries. Great professional interaction and offered to recommend a room switch with the bathtub issues. At times it seemed the hotel was understaffed, but the staff represented the hotel well and work well together with good service, ensuring guest safety, and you could tell they wanted to ensure a good stay. Special recognition to Tanisha at the hotel. She was awesome and one of the best guest services reps I have seen in a few years. Only other notes would be we didn’t get to eat in the Hotel due to COVID and the lobby and common spaces were really nice, open and comfortable. It wasn’t a 100% perfect stay, but it was as close any. I would totally stay at this hotel again and am thankful they were open and operating safely during this pandemic. Overall a lovely hotel, wonderful stay with great service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Justin was amazing at the Cincinatian we came for a 50th birthday party and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was great and Valet was fast, efficient, caring, and they remembered why we were there and asked about our party. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
