Nice vacation without breaking the wallet.

Jul 15th, 2019

Stayed here with a family of five in a king suite in North Tower. The room is newer, spacious with a king bed in the master room and a queen size sofa bed in the living room. There is a lot of room even with an extra roll away bed. There’s a lot of things to do for the family. For adults there’s the casino and live band playing oldies music, both slow and fast songs. There’s no cover charge, just order a drink. For children and young adults, there’s an arcade and the midway that offers free circus acts and magic shows. My children grow vacationing here and will always come back again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ordinary Hotel, Good Location

Jul 10th, 2019

My wife, adult daughter, and I stayed here for three days in June 2019. We did not come to gamble, but did come to tour the area and visit with my son who lives nearby. The location was great for us. We had easy access to the other downtown hotels and restaurants and even to the river, a number of blocks away. UNR is nearby. Parking was provided in an adjacent ramp connected by skyway. It was very convenient. The “resort fees”, so called, were substantial and need to be figured in before booking. The room met our purposes and worked fine for us. It was, however, very ordinary. Breakfast was not provided. We had good breakfasts 3 blocks away in the 3rd floor café within “Calneva”. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I will never stay here again

Jul 8th, 2019

Let me start with saying that as a child my parents brought my family here every year and as an adult, I have been staying for the last 10 years at Circus Circus with my family. This year it was terrible! When we checked into our room the tables had food on them and the floors were not vacuumed. I did not think it was that big of a deal and after a 7-hour drive, I did not want to cause a fuss so I just wiped down the tables myself. When I checked the bathroom there were little hairs all over the tub so I wiped it out with a washcloth and it came away brown with so much dirt, hair, and mildew. The sheets were not tucked in and the beds were barely made. I checked the beds and found tiny hairs in the bed again. They were curly like pubes! The last straw was the hairs in the bed so I called the office and asked to be moved to another room which they did. The next room was worse than the first. Dirty floor, dirty tabletops however there was no hair in the beds so I shrugged and figured this was as good as it was going to get. I walked into the bathroom and to my horror, the seat was up and there was poop and blood on the bottom of the seat!! There was also blood on the wall behind the tv! I called the front desk again not knowing what to do. My wife went down to the car and was getting ready to leave at this point. I talked with Larry who was very apologetic about the state of his hotel. (I think Larry is one of the managers?) he offered to put us in the luxury tower for the same price, in a studio one bedroom. I agreed because we were two hours into this ordeal and my daughter wanted to go play at the midway. Walking down the hall the luxury tower was littered with garbage that remained until I checked out the next day. The studio was very nice, except that the floor was again not vacuumed, popcorn on the floor of the bathroom, the tables and counters were not wiped down and there was a piece of sucked on hard candy stuck on the windowsill. I pried the candy off the sill and again wiped down all the tables. I could not get the rings off without a cleaning chemical but it was ok. It seemed like a pretty good room despite me having to clean it myself. The next morning I checked my bill on the tv and it looked like I was getting charged for the upgraded room. I called the front desk to inquire and the front desk manager (not Larry) yelled at me and cut me off. Rather than explaining that the bill was listed in reverse, he made it clear that he felt that I should be grateful for staying in a $160 luxury suite that was dirty and I had to clean myself after being moved twice and wasting two hours of my day. Family fun

Jul 8th, 2019

I was charged $20 MORE than what my confirmation email stated, when checking into my room. My from was really nice, except the room had not been vacuumed. We had a lot of fun in the mid-way playing games. Most of the emoloyees where really nice and helpful, except for the lady at the front desk. Great place to take your kids. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
